Butterfly caught up with Brandon Block shortly after he'd finished his stint in the Slinky (MTV) Arena

Brandon Block

So you've really kicked off the festival today - that was the first time we've actually seen everyone going for it today…

It's fantastic. It makes your job worth doing, everything you work for and all that stuff. It just makes it so good to see the happy faces, enjoying themselves… even though it's pissing down with rain, everyone's in there, waving their arms in the air and it's hot! It's a DJ's dream.

What other festivals are you taking your wellies to?

Creamfields… probably not Reading now… I missed Creamfields last year because I was stuck on the M6 - there was a big crash… it was murder… I'm doing MTV in Ibiza as well.

Who are you going to see today?

Oooh dunno. As many people as possible - but I'm busy today and have to leave at ten, but I'll wander round and see what happens.

Come the revolution, who'd be first up against the wall?

One of those dictator bastards. Slobadan Blobalobavich or whatever his name is….
