Homelands England 2000

Saturday 27th May 2000
The Bowl, Matterley Estate, nr. Winchester, Hants., England MAP

Cor blimey oh riley charlie guv'nor! Have you ever seen a tent that size fill soooooo quickly? The previous set had been fairly chilled, and then Brian stormed the stage with all the gusto of Taz in hyper-drive. He was bouncing around that much that he put the fervent bungee-junkies outside to shame. And the crowd followed suit. 15 minutes into the set he'd filled the tent and people were spilling out of the doors. AND dancing. If we'd started the day on flat ground, Matterley would definitely have been a bowl by the end of all that jumping.

For an artist that became known for his ambient numbers, BT proved that his music extends just that bit further than the chillout room. Could it have been any funkier? Probably not.

The treat came when he played his latest single "Dreamin'" with live vocals from Kirsty Hawkshaw (who collaborated on the track) wearing a fetching white skirt/top combo which offset Brian's white trousers and his oh-so-stylish eFestivals t-shirt.

Brian mate, you RULE.
