You know those American bands that haven’t existed since Zac Wylde stopped coming to Donington every year? Long haired good ole boys, who serve up gallons of at’tude and rock well here’s a perfect stereotypical example. You wanna describe those old bands before rock died and started doing reality TV shows well just use the words Rose Hill Drive from now on!

The Colorado trio sure make a lot of noise, and I think it’s great, a new breed of upto date classic rawk! But the majority of the crowd appear not to be from the School of Rock and like a little more indie in their guitars I guess. The old folks there to see The Who are lappin’ it up though.

Left handed bassist and lead singer Jake Sproul enthuses between unleashing crunching lines, “It’s an honour to be here with The Who they are a great influence of ours” before powering into ‘Look on Yonder's Wall’ and then presenting us with a new hit ‘Cool Cody’ and more of their blue jam. Terrific stuff and a worthy opener to build up the crowds on the main stage and back in the day they’d be all over Monsters of Rock. Boulder rock indeed, it’s just a shame they weren’t wearing trucker hats to complete their image!
