eFestivals interviewed electro duo Daniel Stephens and Joe Ray, better known as Nero about festivals ahead of their performances this summer.

Have you ever been to any other festivals as a punter?
Yes, the last one I can remember was Pukkelpop in Belgium in 2009. We had to sleep in a car after the festival before driving home to London.

What have you heard about Rock Ness festival?
We've heard the setting is amazing, we're really looking forward to playing at Loch Ness. We've also heard that the crowd are awesome.

What can fans expect from your sets? Any surprises?
They can expect lots of tracks that will be on the album, some exclusives and some of our edits.

Apart from Radio One Big Weekend, Parklife, Wireless, NASS, Wakestock, LED in Victoria Park, Camp Bestival, Rock Ness, Global Gathering, Kendal Calling, and Jersey Live do you have any other festivals lined-up?
We're also doing Reading and Leeds festival in August and there are a couple more announcements to come for July too.

Do you take the time to look around the festival?
It depends if we have time, sometimes we're just in and out due to travel schedules. Glastonbury 2010 was good though as we played twice and so stayed from Thursday to Sunday and got a good chance to check out the whole thing

Is there any performances at this year's festivals that you want to see?
Janelle Monae and Chemical Brothers at Wireless festival are on our list, it's good to stumble across people you wouldn't normally watch at festivals so we’ll most likely play it by ear on the day.

What is the music you like to listen to?
We listen to a lot of music from our scene as we DJ three or four times a week and have to be on top of it, but we literally listen to anything from classical to rock.

Do you have any advice for festival goers?
No sharp objects.

what are your festival essentials?
Headphones and CDs!

When you go to festivals this summer will you be staying over at any of them?
Yes not all of them but we will definitely be staying over at Big Weekend and Glastonbury so far.
