There has to be a very good reason to get out of your tent early at a festival, and The Rasmus are one of those reasons. Partly fascinated by their image on their ‘In The Shadows’ music video, I wanted to see what they are like in real life - funnily enough they don’t look weird on stage.

Sadly from the moment they walked on to the main stage they were greeted with a loud chorus of boo`s from disgruntled festival goers. This was a rather surreal moment - people booing a band that hadn’t even started to play. It was clear that the Rasmus were going to have to try and win them over.

It makes you wonder about the type of moron that pays for a ticket to a festival to go and shout stupid things like ‘Get off the stage’ or at times throw bottles. To me this is just pure stupidity, if you don’t like the band that are playing, simply just move onto another stage where there are bands that you like and let the fans of the band enjoy the performance. So for those of you who thought you were clever throwing bottles or shouting degrading things to the band, here is a simple message for you: get a life, and stop ruining the festival for other people you morons (although judging by their mentality, they probably aren’t able to actually read this).

The Rasmus

The Rasmus belted out their melodic anthems such as ‘In The Shadows’ and ‘Guilty’, with the assistance of the audience joining in with the vocals. The band were energetic, vibrant, and thoroughly enjoyable to watch. It was a satisfying start to the Leeds festival.
