Dizzee Rascal
I thought I'd try something a little different today so found myself staring at Dizzee Rascal and his gravity defying trousers, seriously though how the hell did they stay up? I wasn't sure how the main stage crowd would take to him but as soon as he broke into 'Dance Wiv Me' the audience did just that and I was surprised by how well he went down.

I wandered over to the second tented stage, which due to the new layout was further than the walk used to be. I'm hoping it's the combination of mud, wellies and camping that's making me ache and not my stamina letting me down.

One Night Only certainly got the young girls screaming, the tent wasn't too full which left plenty of space for a dance near the back. 'You and Me' made you realise why the band were worthy of a spot here but it was their closing number 'Just for Tonight' that filled the tent with thousands of voices, the band weren't the only ones singing like they wanted it.

I stuck around for Jack Penate, not actually hearing any of his stuff before I was expecting some mellow tunes to chill out to, how wrong I was. 'Second, Minute or Hour' drew me in and he was thrashing his guitar about like his life depended on it. He left the crowd with the thought that, we'd all be eaten by worms one day and finished his set with 'Lets All Die'.

I started out my walk back over to the main stage doing a bit of star spotting on the way, it's amazing whom you bump into at festivals. Pink Panther, Bananaman, Michael Jackson to name a few, but it was Scooby Doo who got the biggest fan a small child was running after him shouting "Scooby, Scooby come here", to which Scooby obliged, I'm still not sure which episode featured him with 2 pints of cider though.

The Fratellis

The Fratellis played just an average set for me which is a shame as I was looking forward to seeing them, ok so I admit it I was jumping around to 'Chelsea Dagger' and 'Henrietta' but just where was 'Mistress Mabel'? a personal favourite of mine at the moment.

As Josh Homme and the rest of Queens Of The Stone Age took to the stage I was ready for something good and as soon as I heard the opening riff to the opening song 'No One Knows' they'd already delivered what I was there for. The crowd surfers were now out in force and the atmosphere picked up a notch. As 'Mexicola' and 'Someone's In The Wolf' were belted out I look on in awe as this band seem timeless, can't Homme age a bit to make me feel better? As the set was finished off with 'Go with the Flow' I'd have been more than happy to walk out of the arena with them as headliners, but things were about to get a whole lots messier.

Rage Against The Machine

Wow, what more can I say about Rage Against The Machine of all the bands that have reformed recently these are definitely the top of my must see list and here I am.

At one point during the set they stopped for several minutes and asked the crowd to all step back, they really were going mental. Saturday was finished off perfect for me as I wobble back to my tent with their closing number 'Killing in the Name' still buzzing through my head, tomorrow has got a lot to live up to.
