This year's eleventh Liverpool-Irish Festival, takes place from Thursday 10th until Sunday 20th October 2013 and offers a programme of music, film, drama, heritage, literature and lectures to suit everybody.
Line-up
The line-up will include over 100 musicians. Highlights include Damien Dempsy, Christy Moore, Luka Bloom, Lumiee, Andy Irvine, Sean Keane, the Irish Sea Sessions, th]e closijng night with The Rambling Boys Of Pleasure, and the opening night featuring Celtic Pádraig Rynne, Donal Lunny and Sylvain Barou.
This year sees the launch of The Festival Club which will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights during the festival at The Zanzibar Club on Seel Street. It will be hosted by local musicians Alan O'Hare and Ian Prowse and will feature performances from popular local musicians and those performing at the festival.
Other events during the Festival include film screenings, exhibitions, record and book launches.
Tickets
Ticket prices vary depending upon event, some events are free.
Already lined up are a week of film at FACT, a Family Day at the Museum of Liverpool, two shows based on the life and work of Flann O'Brien, a version of Dermott Bolger's coruscating play 'The Holy Ground', Irish comedian Pat Short, Ceilidhs at St Michael's Irish Centre and the Palm House - which also hosts the annual Young People's Concert - and Heritage Walks exploring Irish Liverpool, with more events to be announced in the coming weeks.
Accommodation
The festival offers no accommodation at the event. There are plenty of accommodation options available in the city.
