More info
Shakedown promoters are bringing two of the biggest festival tents in Europe to Stanmer Park, the same Kayam structures used by Radio 1 for their Big Weekend Events, ensuring Shakedown 2013 will be weather proof.
Getting there
Stanmer Park is a car free zone. There will be a park and ride system in operation at Brighton Racecourse. This will be priced at £3 return per passenger in addition to the £10 per car parking fee. If travelling by car, please try and car-share to keep carbon emissions down and ease traffic. The park and ride will be well signposted on approach routes to Brighton; if in doubt follow signs to Brighton Racecourse.
On the day of the festival, festival attendees are welcome to arrive at Falmer station but access to the station will not be granted to festival-goers leaving the event after 8pm due to the restrictive size of Falmer station and the low capacity of these trains.
Those arriving by train will be welcome to use the shuttle buses back into Brighton (return fares apply).
For those arriving at Brighton Station, it is recommend they board the 25 bus from Churchill Square. The 25 and N25 bus routes will be available to transport people from Stanmer Park to Brighton station before and after the event.
Brighton & Hove Buses will be significantly increasing the frequency of the number 25 route, which will drive into the park and drop passengers off right outside the event entrance. For this day only, the 25 will call at stops every 2 - 5 minutes. Other buses that run to the Stanmer Park area from Brighton are: 5B, 23, 28, 29A, 29C, 78, 84.
