Walking on stage fifteen minutes late and with no explanation, The Strokes kick straight off in to Reptilia with a somewhat swaying front man Julian Casa Blanca manning the microphone.
After a few songs it becomes evident that Julian is possibly under the influence of something other than the music coming from the stage. The New York rocker seems rather excited and ends up lying under the drum kit and rolling on the floor. Fuck Yeah! is then said and the set carried on.
For a last night main stage headliner, it is noticeably under-crowded. This is possibly as a host of Scots have fled to see Snow Patrol or possibly because for many The Pixies were considered the headliners. For those that have chosen to stay, The Strokes have more than justified their headlining slot and turn out to be one of the most fun and entertaining acts of the weekend.
Winding up, fireworks go up and bagpipes play as T in the Park is over for another year.
