There's something infinitely magnificent about ABBA songs. Just walking up the field, hearing the opening lines to Waterloo was enough to turn me round and lead me to the front of the crowd.
Bjorn Again might not be the real McCoy, but boy, do they do a good impression of the Swedish foursome. Even their exchanges between songs are in Swede-American-English. Played to perfection.
The thing about Abba is that they had so many hits, that the whole Bjorn Again set is filled with people's favourites. Song after song linked into each other almost like the ABBA remix album, total ABBA heaven, and complete with fab dance routines. It's like 1980 never happened and they'd never split up.
They finish on Mama Mia and Dancing Queen. It's like being at the school disco. And it's great. If All Saints spent as much time polishing their performance as Bjorn Again do, maybe one day they'll get a response as great too.
