Wychwood Music Festival 2007

Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd June 2007
Cheltenham Racecourse, Prestbury Park, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England MAP
£95 w/e adults with camping, (£75 w/e 12-18 yr olds, students, OAPs, unwaged)

“Hurry, get up, get the tent down, get a cycle taxi, MSB are on in an hour!” entering the arena breathless half way through the first song – I don’t think I did badly! And I’m sure glad I did! These boys know how to rock a stage (this is their biggest outdoor festival encounter on one) and they looked up to the job. Thrash ska punk – but with the most musical bits of each genre used, so it’s nice on the ears – even the shouty bits and gets the feet moving and head bopping before noon on the third day of a festival. Well for some down the front it moves them so much they dance like maniacs!

Top stuff, they even bring on a dancer (he doesn’t dance, he just leaps well) and really keep the set tight. Destined to surely be a festival favourite gathering for ska fans, punk (nu and old) fans, reggae fans and thrash fans – they sure have their bases covered. Not bad for a band whose debut album ‘Cafe Trauma’ is out the next day. Mixed things up well on stage, highly enjoyable way to wake up and shake out those muscles after a morning hauling heavy kit about.
