Robyn Hitchcock and the Venus 3(Main Stage)

Robyn does like to ramble between songs, most of it strange convoluted conversation, often more entertaining than the tracks and certainly distracting from the underlying musicianship. Suitable for a festival though, where it was a nice backdrop to meeting friends old and new. Although trying to work out what he was on about was half the fun, a few old Pink floyd covers and some great Syd Barrett stuff kept me entertained – but it seemed much of the crowd where less aware of the music he presented to us.
