Sunday contained a roots-heavy line-up including, Seth's younger brother, Sean Lakeman with Kathryn Roberts, a festival favourite, Show of Hands and Port Isaac'sThe Fisherman's Friends (a ten-man-strong group who sang sea shanties with their rich, earnest voices).

The Saw Doctors
One of the day's top steals had to be The Saw Doctors; their happy-go-lucky stadium folk rock was a pleasing to the audience. Meanwhile the Big Top hosted a young, new and up-coming band Dizraeli and the Small Gods. The mixing pot of rap, jazz, folk and any other genre you care to name was another stand out of the day due to their fiery dynamic and Dizraeli's superb lyrics and performance poetry.

A third shining star of Sunday was definitely Phantom Limb, a Bristol-based band who have their roots in country and old style R&B. Their singer, Yolanda Quartey, has a phenomenal voice as evidenced by her channelling some of the soul greats. Mind-blowing, heart-melting stuff.

Dhol Foundation
To end the festival Dhol Foundation played through an exuberant set of world-music meets dance meets Irish folk meets just about anything! Their wonderful stage performance and enigmatic frontman Johnny Kalsi really stole the show even though rain and crowd depletion had started to kick in.

Overall, the festival was great fun. Apart from the lack of staggering between bands, not many bad words can be said about Wychwood festival. There were sufficient stewards to feel safe, yet not feel too watched or controlled. There were loads of activities for families and kids. Best of all, there was a wide enough variety of music to satisfy everyone.
