Well, just got back from five days in cornwall. It was wonderful. camped at a tiny campsite called court farm which had the tallest man i have ever met as the site owner... i had to stand on a step to talk to him when we arrived as he drawfed me. Would recommend this campsite to anyone, spec if you have children as there is a big field for the wee ones to play in and an old clay works in nearby woods to explore. Clean, friendly and will be back next year hopefully.
the pook had a wonderf
I'm taking a break from the cut and thrust of electrical engineering for a well deserved 15 minutes! All my colleagues are out of the office on holiday or out on site so i'm left here fielding everyones calls and answering a heap of questions and queries on issues ranging from power consumption to heat loss and cooling factors.....yes my job really is that interesting.
I can't wait to get home, crack open a tinny and fire up the playstation, of course not before i've made the kids a meal, tidi
This may be a long blog entry, there is a lot on my mind, and none of it's of a depressing style.
Lets start with Leeds, it was cool this year, but overcrowded for sure. I'd like to thank all the efesters who made the weekend really fun. The bands I saw were all pretty cool, none really disappointed so thats good. Didn't get all that drunk this year, due to my being with Sophie really, don't know why, it just seemed to work out that way. Dunno if i'll be there next year, going for glasto
Reading was awesome saw loads of bands and have loads of write ups to do, stayed up til late watchin the cabaret, really knackered now but had the best Reading for ages. We were gonna knock it on the head, but with it being so good, not sure we can! Turns out GreenMan doesn't clash with it. But i do wanna do Sunrise if it's on. Have to wait and see.
Here's my score card for the weekend:
Friday:
Mr Fogg -7 pretty nice
Duels - 6 alright
Fields - 8 like it crazy Icelenadic influence

Could finally be arsed to post my V2006 pictures from Stafford, lazy git that i am(ask the wife). Those disposable cameras are actually quite good, i was pleasantly surprised by the quality of them.
Would really like to add some witty pseudo intellectual comment here but just got home from the pub and am using all my power to spell things correctly....how did i do?Probably didn't help myself by using phrases such as pseudo intellectual......f**k me i spelt it right twice

wednesday leeds.
bitch of a journey due to poor direction on my part. Got in though and tent up and gazebo prior to the down pour from hell. Then its make friends and party, there was 5 of us that initially arrived and later joined by 2 more. From here, me and paul essex. essex started drinking as soon as he got out of the car and carried on pretty much all weekend. Too much wine on wednesday night ensured that its a blur.
Thursday. We are joined by the rest of the party and late in th
I wrote out a large large large blog entry about leeds and f**king lost it. It basically said I drank a lot, had a good time, watched some bands of which the fall, metric, get cape wear cape fly, kaiser chiefs and my chemical romance were all good. I may try writing it out again. Bastard computer.
The next fortnight is relatively gigtastic compared to the rest of the year. In fact, the last gig I was at was waaaaay back in June (I think ). Sooo, I've got...
David Ford - The Borderline - Tuesday: Weeeeeeeeeee! Had a nightmare cos I didn't know about tickets until after they'd sold out (it was a tiny date at a bar with only 130 tickets on sale). Due to the floor collapsing, they moved it to the Borderline - cue extra tickets, a whole day and night clicking refresh and screaming at the
and so begins ten glorious days of holiday... off camping and can't wait... have a slight hangover from one to many mojitos last night... hmmm but they are scrummy
I'm actually going to write a proper bona-fide blog entry today.
I'm going on holiday on Tuesday - hoorah! I need a break really badly, it's been such a long while, and the wife and I have been busy busy working on the house, which we purchased in April. We are off to my relatives place in Italy, a beautiful, untouristy (well, apart from Italian tourists) place half way between Genoa and Pisa called the "Golfo di Poeti" or the bay of Poets.
It looks like this :
It's called the b
Haven't been doing much but washing/drying clothes and sleeping since we got back on Tuesday. Endorset was really my kind of festival - I like reggae/ska n stuff - but was a little chilly for my condition so as it got into the evenings i needed warming up so Trudi and I would head back for Hot drinks and waterbottles - how sad is that! Darren went back for more usually. Really liked their little healing area - keep meaning to go in for a massage but I know once Ive sampled id be wanting more t
... is very obviously at http://www.myspace.com/efestivals
And I hate it - it's the most user-unfriendly website I've ever had the misfortune to interact with.
Can anyone tell me how I can edit the URLs that display on the page? I want to link to the main efests site, and can't work out how too.
Feeling reasonably excited today - and no it's not the outtolunch rum on the way to work! My magazine for today has been put back to tuesday - result!
Not only that metcheck predicts much better weather for Reading - yay! Well except for the packed I've packed all wet weather gear and no chance to repack before we leave.
As it could be the last year we go for a while we'll try to cover nearly every band! A slog but we're both up for it this year.
I appear to not need sleep anymore K th
5 games into the season and QPR are neither bottom of the league nor out of the League Cup, makes a nice change Scummy Leeds are below us too Perhaps my pessimism for this season was unecessary and we'll be alright, lower midtable but safe.
Salisbury City are 2nd in the Conference South after last season's promotion, unbeaten and going well.
That concludes tsz's football round up, next time I update I will have returned from Leeds - a festival that has crept up from nowhere and one tha
Six months ago I got flashed by a speed camera in Bristol (where I live). Thru came a form giving me some options, I ticked the "i want to pay a £60 fixed penalty", and sent it back. Then nothing.
Today I got a summons. So not only have I not had the option to actually pay the fixed penalty (the first form didn't give the option to pay at that point), the frigging summons is for Taunton Court - how does that work then?
So I phone the camera unit and say "I never had the option to pay the
Beautiful Daze is all written up, and I've just got one mag and two covers to go and then it's Reading Festival. Gotta check the stats on the fish tank tonight and have got me hair cut. Could do with an early night tonight.
I'm so lazy. I'm still in bed. I plan to stay in bed until about 30 min before Craig gets home from work and then get up and pretend I've been busy all day . I'm officially stockpiling on my sleep in advance of leeds festival, which is going well with a full 12 hours last night
The only thing I might do today is drive to Momoniats, which is an international supermarket, to buy some cheatin vegan ham for my sandwiches for leeds festival. But I'm feeling so lazy I might not even do that.
So I've just been told that the factory where I work is being closed by the parent company.
Not the best news I could have received with the new baby less than three weeks away.
not the guy who goes into costume shops and goes to magical worlds, the organiser of the Festivale de Leeds or words to that effect.

I am knackered and I better get a good nights sleep tonight, Leeds is extremely f**king nigh! I have to make sure I take a big dump before I go to leeds as well, the less pooing I do there, the better. I'm cranky from the lack of sleep last night and I have a headache.
