As of last night I have my Leeds tickets, I had two Reading tickets and via a friend of Normbo's I made the swap last night. I can get excited about going now, was cutting it a bit fine though. We arranged this swap in May as it goes and for all the people that rip others off on this forum, this was a straight swap of tickets, neither of us pulled out and it was trouble free.
Out last night in town a lot of people for the V festival was about, I hate to generalise but there are a f**kload of pe
The tent arrived today (speedy service ) - im yet to check it out propperly seen as the weather has been nuts today, thunder this morning and all day rain on and off. Apparently its flooded in areas of Liverpool.
Took Blue_mondays to Manchester today. He's getting the megatrain from there up to Glasgow. Almost didnt make it - had to run from one one side of the city centre to the other! - i now have a blister on my heel - seems CRAZY cheap that megatrain. fifteen pound return! - me and blu
Thank f*ck for that.
Home for a few days then Leeds festi so I won't be around much between now and then.
Which is quite a relief seeing as the forum seems to have been invaded by some utter c**ts at the minute.
So Sophie came over today for a few hours, but she got a migraine and she was in agony with it, the poor thing. She kept apologising for it, and I kept telling her not to apologise, as she couldn't help it. anyway I've not really got a lot to say today, except that spots are seriously shit, i'm quite tired
then along came the rain, but thankfully i had just about finished airing and just giving it an antibacterial wipe using those flash ones with the hard side and the normal side, get in

I got ordained as a minister today.
As of this morning I am officially the Reverend Peter Donohoe.
I have the certificate to prove it. I love the internet.

Last night went up the New North Bridge Inn for a beer and they had none - only bottles and cans no draught stuff at all!!! Never been to a pub without beer before.
Worked my butt off in work and it's all done, awaiting proofing and signing off then I'm off to the pub and then home to pack for Beaut Days. Terrific!
Will blog when i get back!
As some of you might be aware, eFestivals is committed to giving 1% of turnover (turnover, not profit) to charity, and our chosen charity is WaterAid. I've just given them another sizable donation (the second this year) as a result.
Thanks goes to every user of eFestivals - without your support of eFestivals, this just wouldn't be possible.
WaterAid is an international charity dedicated to helping people escape the stranglehold of poverty and disease caused by living without safe water a
Ring ring, ring ring (actually, it was Day Tripper, but that wouldn't set the scene that took place this lunchtime)
Me - 'Hello'
Sister's fella - 'Hey haggis, you doing anything this weekend'
Me - 'Yeah, I've got a Christening to go to in Nottingham...a mate's daughter...they are having a BBQ on saturday
SF - ' that's a pity, you could have come to Prague tomorrow. Everything is paid for, you'd just have to transfer the flight for £35'

Well, it seems as tho some people think that eFestivals are the people that hand out passes for festivals, and some people will go to extraordinary lengths to try and blag a freebie.
Yesterday I had someone telling me how they're a director of a couple of music biz related companies, and he suggests I check at Companies House. So for the fun of it I check, and it turns out one is dissolved and the other is dormant.
He also told me how he knew one of the directors of eFestivals, so I asked
It was my intention that this efestivals blog was just going to be festival related, but as time has gone on it’s a bit difficult resisting just wittering. I have even tried to tenuously tie gigs to festivals. I can imagine it, today I walked my dog (that is really what it will be like) which reminded me off the first time I went to Glastonbury festival and on our way through Glastonbury town I espied a crusty with a dog on a string, not a cliché, there really was one, and I wound down the windo
Cud at Birmingham last night.
The support was excellent, a chap called Rob McCulloch, will be looking into him later today, really good.
As I have said I last saw Cud at Glastonbury festival, they were the highlight that year, that was around 93. So last nights gig had been a long time coming. Puttnam had clearly gained a bit of weight, but who hasn't I know I am not the bloke I was 13 years ago. William and Steve didn’t appear to have aged at all, Steve being the drummer from Cud. They ha
Would you believe it.....no work today....I can stay in bed for as long as I want to....so ....I'm up and about at 6.00am....
Well I did have to get up and move my car...as I kind of abandoned it last night.....but still....am I that conditioned into early rising ??
Went out visiting last night....on the hunt for some sedation....major drought round here....found someone to share what they had with me, which was very nice....even more reason to sleep in.....had lots of calls and texts ab
Packing has never been my strong point - packing for festivals even more so. At least I have tent pegs so in the inevitable event of torrential rain at BDs, my tent won't get swept away I don't, however, have any babywipes, food, money or drink and I've lost my Hugoo which is very annoying! If you don't already know - this is a Hugoo:
(Woman not included)
It's incredibly squishy and wonderful for sleeping, which bearing in mind the enorrrrrrmous coach trip, could be a godsend!
But where
Last night we started to get things booked for our holiday to Cape Town, and we've got 4 of the 6(!) different places we're staying booked. We're staying in a variety of places, from a sw*nky hotel in capetown, to a fancy tent thing in a nature reserve (where we get to go for a ride on an elephant - eek!). We fly out via amsterdam, so we decided to spend a couple of nights there before going on to SA, and we're staying in the Winston hotel in the red light district (just round the corner from
Essex has assured me that my tickets will be here tomorrow, I feel his drug consumption has got the better of him.
Tonight I am off to see 90's Leeds indie band Cud. A band that are possibly in my top 20 all time bands. Certainly in the early 90's in my top 5. Always used to see them supporting the Wedding Present and saw them just way too many times, its a bit of a deal for me tonight, unsure if I will feel the same emotion I felt when I saw the reformed pixies at brixton a couple of years a
The partition HDD wasn't big enough for all my music so some had to be sacrificed (good bye Goldfinger, Descendants, Lost Prophets, Bright Eyes, Jack Johnson, Muse, Captain Beefheart and Screaming Trees) and now it's just generally been a bastard booting. The first Windows CD was f**ked and didn't install properly. The second one did but that was just the start. Now, at 7pm I am resizing the new partition so it is essentially one big HDD again. I started this about 6 hours ago. I turned down a c

Tomoz im gonna do the shop for stuff like babywipes etc. Blue_mondays is leaving for Glasgow friday night - off to see his mates and go to a 21st birthday party. Gives me and chance to try and find all the stuff i bought for leeds last year t
