Don't bother knocking mister postman

Lets see, I managed to get in touch with SMS, ticket to be sent tomorrow. Royal Mail delivered a package, dunno if it was the one I got the card for, but when I say delivered, I mean posted the letters through the letterbox and left the package on the window ledge outside the back door. Well at least I spotted it i suppose. Revision is boring

God I'm Bored

Which probably means I'm boring. I just watched this. I don't know what to do with this blog. See I was thinking of just doing a big weekly update about a particular topic, that people could respond to in any way they saw fit, and it'd be all fun. But then I thought 'you've only had 2 comments and f**k all views so no-one is probably even reading this you tit'. In other news I can play the Feel Good Inc bassline. It's not much of an achievement.

Sifiblog's guide to modern living part 1

Monday is serious day on the sifiblog, looking at different aspects of popular culture and their place in our modern society. It's a difficult world, it's an unfair world, and it's a challenging world. Technology is moving at a breakneck pace, science is dragging us forward at such a rate - and to an extent our ethics, our morals and our beliefs as a civilisation don't change at the same speed. We have very little actual knowledge as individuals, yet as groups we can be as Gods, creating, men

hello mister mailman, GET A CALENDAR!

I have decided now that I hate delivery companies, not like food ones, they tend to be good, and bring yummy food. But postal ones, namely SMS and Royal Mail. In the past week, they've both done their fair share of shafting me, and it's really pissing me off, as I pay postage costs for a service, not a shambles. Let's start with everyones favourite shall we, SMS, who, sent an email notifying me of a dispatch on Wednesday said something along the lines of usually within 24 hours, may take 2-3

and we're off

The season has started and it was Nantwich Town 3, Glossop North End 1. We're back in the routine already, with the usual off-field kick off of our keepers top being green, the same colour the home team play in. This weekend the team play in the opening round of the FA Cup...in August. It's a long way to the final in May, but we could be out before the bank holiday. North Shields FC are visiting. If any efesters are stuck for something to do on Tuesday night and fancy going to their h

The end of the weekend

Well, sort of stumbled (not literally) through this weekend. Got quite pissed last night to console myself cos I had my car impounded last week, cos of no tax (yes, yes, I know very sloppy). So, the upshot is I need a new vehicle. Therefore, I had to sell My Beautiful Days ticket to try and raise some cash. Pretty fooked off really, but that's life I guess. Really wanted to buy tix for the Kasabian gig at the MEN but sort of resisted. It's a bast innit....responsibility/fun, fun/responsibi

So, it's saturday night, I'm stuck in watching big brother, and I have no company other than the internet and my cats cos Craig is working a late shift Was meant to be going to the evening do of my workmate's wedding, but obviously I'm not cos I'm sat on the sofa. Jeff Stelling

Not so much Jeff himself but the programme, Gillette Soccer Saturday. This is of course a must see for me on a Saturday afternoon when United are away from home, in that I can keep track of the scores relating to my teams (QPR 2-0 Southend, first win in 13 yay , Salisbury 1-1 Lewes, debut in Conference South by drawing with the title favourites ), but my housemate thinks it's rubbish. His argument is that you can understand watching the results to see the scores, so why do you need to sit ther

Still wistful....

I'm still in pondering mood.....was thinking today about living in a house. I love my house and I'm fairly happy there, but for years I was used to moving around....settling for a few years somewhere, then moving on.....I think I'm getting the urge to up sticks again..... Was thinking about a trip to Cornwall to look at a houseboat that's for sale on the estuary at Falmouth....only trouble is.....if I fall in love with her I'll be miserable, cos the time ain't quite right..... Last night.

I meet up with Essex last night and Paul. Paul joined us at Download, this is him sans bandana, but with aviators. Paul had the Leeds ticket off us and he seemed very happy. A good night last night, I am not Essex who takes the candle, burns both ends, gets bored with that and eats the f**ker. At download Essex ate glowsticks and hel0rz and I challenged him at Leeds to eat play doh, which he said last night he still will. He also told me last night that hel0rz is no longer going to Leed

Hello mister unwanted bowel movement

So I was on my way home from work, and I suddenly needed a poo really badly, so I went to Sheff Uni union, but none of their loos were open, then I went to Royal Hallamshire Hospital (it being an emergency and all that) but their doors were all closed, then I went into a restaurant and they let me use their toilets. It was a very high velocity and low viscosity substance which I am so glad didnt flow down my leg. It was terrifying. Also Sophie's Leeds ticket still hasn't attempted to be deliv

it's the weekend...

...And I'm absolutey knackered. I had an interview at work today for a promotion, which I think went well. I'll find out about it next week, so fingers crossed for me. Had to go and buy a suit in a big panic on wednesday after work as I realised (during a deathly boring training course) that my current one and only presentable suit was in fact 8 years old and didn't fit any more. So that'll be going to the charity shop then (as I really need to sort out my wardrobe cos I can't fit any mo

Il postino.

Seetickets say my tickets are in the post, unsure if they are using SMS anymore as Royal Mail delivered our Cud tickets today. For all their faults SMS are way better than the thieving c**ts that masquerade as postmen.
