I've succumbed.... After thinking, nah, I won't do this blog thing, who would seriously want to know about the mundane-ities of my daily ramblings, and who I am I to think that casting a few of my thoughts into the cyber void will attract any interest at all, ...I found myself being drawn in......
Its compulsive innit?! So here goes....blog part 1!
Erm...well this is how most Mondays are - sat at work bleary eyed after a hellish drive to work from Worthing to High Wycombe via the M25, sh
Web log rolling rolling rolling.
Scene 1, Act 1, take II .... And .... action!
The scene is set. The page is empty, the way is forward and the road is long, with - by all accounts - many a winding turn. And where it leads, well, who knows where, who knows when. Maybe the AA do. Or indeed - in the interests of a balanced blog - so do any of the other roadside assistance groups. I wouldn't know, I don't drive ; which is sometimes a cause of concern to me, but mainly a cause of relief
So with Friday night ruined (see below and add tantrums), it was Plan B - D:Percussion in Manchester - that was to be the highlight of the weekend. But then Mrs Haggis didn't get back until 11, and then promptly went out to the vets with her mum (and her cat, my m-i-l goes to the doctor when she's poorly, Les Dawson fans).
Eventually, after everyone was fed watered etc, we made it down to Castlefield for about 6pm. This after nearly ten minutes hanging around the car waiting for the free pa
I was rudely awakened fro my slumber, a dream that involved me for some reason watchin g a seated stage show that appeared to be Cher on stage, and Dirk Kuyt was in the audience, except Kuyt was thoroughly English, because I had a forgotten hospital consultancy at 9.45am this morning. So much for planning to do things today. So I waited an hour for a consultant (who was actually a good guy) to say 'Yeah we've scanned your left knee, we'll scan your right'
The hunt for new shoes goes on, I m
The kids are always telling me I should go on Millionaire, especially when I ace another £32,000 question before the answers come up, but i tell them it's not that easy (when in truth i'm just too tight to enter given the chances of successfully getting on the Tarrant show).
However, when I saw the advert for a new show, i decided that it was time to give it a bash, and filled in the application form.
A few weeks ago I got a call telling me that i sounded like 'just the sort of person' t
Went to the tip yesterday and had a result. Said I would look out for a campinggaz 907 bottle for a fellow camper that I dont know. Was going anyway to get rid of rubbish & a helium bottle leftover from my daughters party. So I went investigating around the gas bottles. there were all shapes and sizes. Eventually found one and thought nothing ventured nothing gained so picked it up and walked past the man in his shed - he diddnt notice or diddnt care..(they normally say no or charge I think
Some how those filthy bastards at Burger King managed to poison me and I have been to put it bluntly, shitting through the eye of a needle, in one respect this is bad, health and all that, the other respect I had a delivery of Leeds festival early entry tickets.
Every now and then, I get emails from people that think eFestivals are the organisers of the festivals we list. In the last week I've had a few of these, and in each case it's people trying to blag free tickets. The most common theme is "I'm a mate of so-and-so, and he said to email you to sort out a freebie".
Oh yeah? If you're such a good mate of so-and-so, how come he isn't sorting you a freebie himself?
having been ill and missed Sparks at Guilfest, I made a late decision to go to the Big Chill. I hadn't been before, and Lynz_star was going for efests, so I attached myself to her little group (who made me feel very welcome - thanks peeps ) and checked it out.
It's a great festival - bigger than I expected, and more free of corporates & advertising than most fests. The majority of time is spent sat down (it's the big chill after all ), with regular trips to the bars for more cocktails (yu

Think of all the HD space that'd free up - three PCs worth of MP3s and MPEG4s.
Me and the man, the BooBoo, went to the Black Cat Cafe on Mill Road in Cambridge for a smoothie and some cake. Cambridge was very humid and we were sweating lots and lots!
Went to Camelford and Tintagel, saw Gran she's looking thin. At Tintagel we drove passed the battle for Camelot re-enactment which looked cool but Cornwall was packed. Lunched in Boscatle, more family and wedding is June 16. There's a few B&Bs up for grabs tho - so we did think maybe we'd buy one and we saw a mobile home towing a car and K said that was the answer. Most of the pixies are bare stone now - shame i preferred their bright colours.
Tonight it's damn hot!
Just been reading
Hello all. All who chose to read my blog. Which will probably just be the mods then. And that's only to check I'm not publishing anything untoward. Which I'll try not to do. So in time, you'll probably not even bother. And then t'will be me rambling on to myself. So no change there
Well, I'm back from a weekend visiting the parentals and seeing some of my old mates who I don't get to see that often. One of them's getting spliced in 2 weeks, and I wanted to catch up before the wedding as she
So, I went to unity day in hyde park (that's leeds not london) yesterday, and was pretty darn good. Went over to the park with a couple of friends and met up with a host more when we arrived, and proceeded to sit around and get drunkled.
There's loads of interesting local bands on at unity day, techno, dub and drum n bass tents, combined with some village fete type activities such as a cake sale, face painting and a dog with the waggiest tail competition (where the main contenders are dogs
Tomorrow I start a new job - still at the same company, but it's a better job with more responsibility and a bit better paid. I'm nervous about it tbh, but at the same time excited.
What I'm really worried about tho, and this is going to sound odd, is the fact I have to train my replacement to do the job I am leaving. What if I don't teach him well? Will there be enough stuff for him to do? Will I get on with him?
I think those that matter already know im back in liverpool now and will be for the for seeing future. Me and darren have come down to scouse land to both get work (both jobs basically/almost sorted already) and to have fun
Last weekend Ive had a nice quiet time. Been really nice catching up with me mum n dad, especially my dad, i hadnt seen him in 6 months!. Back in my mums n dads house we now have a very modern kitchen with open plan dinning room - with a plasma tv!! house looks well differ
Right, this is my first blog on Efests, so i thought id write a little bit about T in the park that happened last month (or how little i actually remember)
Darren (aka blue_mondays) my boyfriend was able to get us full weekend tickets on the guest list!!!
[b]FRIDAY 6TH JULY
Me and darren get up for about 7:30am, i remember my back being bad (erm, i fell out of a tree when very drunk about a month before and done my back some damage) because the day before we bought a load of ale from asda
So today was Sunday (for me Sunday is a day which ends at 12pm on an actual Sunday, the space between Sunday and Monday doesn't have an name, but it's a different day, it's my day of rest I suppose) and it began in the second of two usual ways (wake up on Alarm 1: 4am XFM, wake up on Alarm 2: 4.30am Radio1), and some time between 5 and 6, on my way to work I got a funny feeling, though it's becoming a more familiar feeling now, this is by far not the first occurence. It was a feeling of nausea,
I mean like really f**king smell. I need a new pair of shoes. I may have mentioned this. Last night's entertainment was the Barrow equivalent of fine cognac and cigars over a game of backgammon at a gentleman's abode last night; 8 cans of lager, a chicken and mushroom pizza, Pro Evo 5 and a few joints sprinkled on top for good measure.
The 'girlfriend' arrives at 1pm until 3pm for the last time before she goes on holiday. I have a feeling it would be ill-timed to finish with her. I have a mi
The last time the tent was out was at download, my kid has loads of storage in the attic room and the tents go back there. Yesterday she got a tent out as they have gone to Newquay for the week and she tells us that of the 4 tents that should be there, there is one. A little alarmed by that as they aren't like a cutlery set or a gas canister that could easily be in a dark corner, its 3 f**king tents, one a large one and 2 2 man tents.
I am hoping it is just my kids dim wittedness and they are t
