Ooh what a weekend. Thursday was our Xmas do, cant recall all that much of it, some I do remember I get little pangs of did I act inappropriately. I don't think I did but hell, until I meet up with people who were there I wont know. Friday I had to make it back from Telford's international hotel to Stafford and thought I was going to be sick every inch of the way, I wasn't but as soon as I got home it was to bed.

We saw tenacious d on Friday night.I will try and set the scene for this concert, I know that people naysay when I say that their debut is one of if not the best album ever made, but lets put that aside. Live, no band even comes remotely close to them, no one is doing what they do, on the scale they do it. The set was 2 hours long and it was part stage musical, part concept gig, part rock opera. It opens in Kages flat, with props by the way, they play a couple of songs and lee, friend of the band comes in and there are a few more songs and lee guests on a few songs, then Jack Black suggests they go electric, and he produces this weird looking guitar and plugs it in, complaining that lee had spilled beer over the electric's, obviously electrocuting Jables and Kage, black out to a huge projection onto a screen and a film of them arriving in hell, some confusion over if it is hell or if it is heaven as its warm, anyway, they hear a guitar and find "Jesus f***ing Christ", but it turns out that its the anti Christ, they ask him if he wants to hook up and play in their band, he agrees and then they ask him if he knows a smoking rhythm section, he does and he introduces them to colonel sanders, and Charlie chaplin, it goes to black out and the projection screen drops to a stage set like hell, and then the full band walk on and perform a few songs. The devil appears later to claim Jables and Kages souls as it transpires that the reason they are in hell is Kage forged their signatures and in return for success sold their souls to Satan. Jack Black rightfully asks, well it worked for his stellar career, but why was Kages career in the dumpster. Any way JB challenges Satan to a musical duel and if they win they get to go back to earth and if they lose, Kage becomes Satan's beyatch. They of course defeat Satan and return to earth. In amongst all this is 6ft mushrooms, "the metal", demons, cops, and genuinely lavish stage sets.

That's was Friday, Saturday we had our nieces over and we took them to the monkey forest at trentham gardens, Sunday relaxed.
