  1. I go back and forth about Eminem headlining but f**k me, it would be a moment to hear this pumping out of the Pyramid. All things considered, I think it would be great.

  2. And so it begins again 😀

  3. They deffo burned it. Still unsure as to why. My theory is that Drummond needed to just get back to "normal" whatever that is. The KLF turned into a music industry beast they were all against even if it was all on their own terms. Back in 2017 I went to a KLF event in Liverpool over three days. Big discussion on night one over the burning of the million. Wrote a blog on it. Days 1 & 2 https://wp.me/pzmxh-1il Day 3 https://wp.me/pzmxh-334

  5. Agreed. Daydreaming at the start wasn't great but that wasn't the fault of the band. After that it was a show and a half. They played f***ing Let Down!

  6. TBH, I can't see the site map changing too much from previous years... maybe the exception being that the bandstand/seaside stage is back and the common stage field is bigger because no car park: The big top/Comedy is where the strongbow bar is normally. The actual shape and size won't change much.

  7. Anything for you, brother. Pretty confident I’d draw a bigger crowd than SZA.

  8. I’ve put everything in place for me to headline 2027. I just need to learn to play the guitar, sing and become a megastar. Other than that, we’re good to go.

  9. Yeah seems like Ren is confirmed Saturday and Chinchilla all but confirmed as Sunday, which would mean the poster runs left to right and Unkle is Thursday. No idea time wise, but just going by standard gig / festival timings I'd say it's reasonably safe to assume it'll be 9 at the absolute earliest.

  10. Actually they had 2 headliners almost ready by the end of 2023: https://hellorayo.co.uk/planet-rock/news/rock-news/andy-copping-download-festival-2025/

  11. Completely missed this. Entering Heaven Alive is one of my favourite albums of the last decade or so.

  12. I used Airbnb the first few times I came to Primavera. Generally it was regular people running the apartment. But now it's almost entirely businesses and I don't mean someone who owns one or two apartments, it's like entire blocks and numerous apartments all across the city. They don't even try to pretend to be a small host anymore, you can see straight away that it's a business. Most of these apartments are no better than a hotel, you get a tiny kitchen sure but you don't have any of the services provided by a hotel. And the price is usually the same. I already have a hotel booked but are there any options for apartments that are not owned by big businesses or harmful to locals? I'd like to know. Maybe you can still find a few small hosts on Airbnb but tbh I don't see very many anymore

  15. Tbh Avril on the Other Stage, in that slot, was always asking for trouble. It's not just the migration, but the field itself was by far the busiest I've ever seen. This isn't hindsight talking, given that it panned out exactly how many people including myself predicted from early on. Put her on at the same time on Saturday (so up against Michael Kiwanuka) and you'd get the same effect. She should only ever have been booked on the Pyramid given that she's exactly the kind of act that always attracts a huge crowd at Glastonbury. Even in a "normal" year against stronger competition it would have been very poor placement. It's a poor decision by the Festival on all counts - for all artists involved, and for customers as well.

  16. To be fair to Emily and co it must be tricky to predict how silly/drunk/ironic people are feeling. Janelle vs Avril should have resulted in more folks at The Pyramid and less at The Other

  17. Yeah, looks like she’s already trying to distance herself from all that, which is wise going in to the election. Plus, gotta give Biden adequate room to cough directly in to his face.

  21. After reading your comment I had to visit the Lowlands site - an abomination that is arguably even worse that last year's. Feeling nauseous now. Still has The Smile on the line up too. Would be better than nothing, but I'd be disappointed with James Blake - I can kind of see why he'd be a replacement for The Smile, but I've always found his music very nothingy.

  22. Yeah majority of my group go for the social side regardless of who's playing. I'm always pretty enamoured with the line up so am always confident in buying straight away.

  25. I'm actually a big fan and would welcome a reunion, although always rather being realistic than hopeful about it. Keep an eye on these things, and seen/heard more consistent 2025 information than any other reunion rumour since they split up.

  27. I've been asked maybe a couple of times in 2+ years. They would have the right to revoke membership, but I think probably the main issue would be if your friend was selling the tickets on.

  28. They wont be on last As it will go on quite late. There will be acts on after jungle for sure. Some great names on here Bonobo, Sofia Kourtesis, DJ Seinfeld I'd recommend checking out if you are not familiar they have lots of stuff on Spotify. Found a clashfinder for an old repercussions night that might give you a clue to the timings. DJ Shadow & Floating Points were the top bill on this one. https://clashfinder.com/m/whprsept18/ Worth noting they sometimes now have a last admission time so you have to be in by ac Oclock

  29. Ive never been asked, and wouldnt bring my work ID to anything other than work either - it stays with my scrubs, its a bit manky and cross-infectiony to be wearing it everywhere. On that note, people wearing scrubs to shops really, really shouldnt . . .

  30. Anyone with sense can quickly find out why there are protests and if you're a decent person can understand the locals frustration. Plus if you are a good tourist and treat Barcelona and its citizens with respect you will probably receive respect back.

  32. Jack White snuck his new album into customers bags at TMR stores and told them to rip it and share it! It's unreal as well, his best solo album yet.

  36. I know, that's the problem. At what point does it price people out or become extortionate? I mean, it's amazing value for money. I didn't go this year, but I saw Elton and GnR and their ticket prices would've been minimum £100-150 just for their private shows and even then I'd of been sitting way back in the stadium/arena. Then you add all the rest of the acts on top, the beautiful areas like the Park/GoS/SEC etc and then it just seems like a crazy bargain.

  37. I've always said that moving the Rocket Lounge and Diner to Avalon would be good move. Rocket Lounge has always felt like it needs to be somewhere else other the SE corner for people who want that vibe without having the ordeal of everything else in the SE corner. Avalon/Sensation Seekers should be the new home for late night cheesy sing-alongs for those who want to party till 3am but aren't chasing beats.

  38. Copenhagen Metro runs 24/7; but they have been doing some temporary closures at times to test out the new metro line thats being added 'soon'. They usually announced these closures a week or 2 in advance. The venue location is going to be not far from where the new metro line opens up! But its a mystery when it will open; they have been working on it for many years and original prediction was early 2020. Obviously pandemic happened but a 4 year construction delay is quite typical of this city. I live central and they have been doing roadworks outside my apartment for 5 years with no end in sight! 😅 There is also the overground commuter rail (S Train) station nearby that usually runs until 12.30 or 1am. However they do tend to extend rail services later for bigger concerts. But as this is the first year for Syd For Solen at this venue im not sure what special arrangement they will have. As soon as I find out ill share some info! Buses run all night; just a reduced service. 🙂
