its not on topic correct but if it takes a few pages to sort then so be it .... id much prefer not to be getting the reports tbh I think people are capable of not resorting to the stuff that's been discussed .... thread is a bin fire at times and whilst you are never going to be all mates and agree on everything an announce of just being respectful to other humans would be a great thing at a time when many might be having issues outside this thread . The worlds a mess we don't need it to be the same on efests . happy to take DMS to try and sort this mess out too .

if a precident is set then it needs to be maintained and applied equally .... that's why the forum guidelines are being drawn up , at the moment im being asked to act on things that I would hope not to be asked about as it is a room of adults , if I make a judgement it would mean that included you . I don't much care for any abuse or stuff like that , things can be much better argued without that , the threads been up and down without Barry ( don't forget that I get all the reports )

have you asked Iggy about becoming one ? what would you do ? would you ban everyone ? just intrigued as to how things would be done better remembering if there is just one view point then there is no discussion . If I banned everyone that would have meant you also for shouting Tory at people ....

if I took action last week the ban list would have been the entire contributors to this thread , sometimes people need to look at themselves in the mirror , like I said earlier if anyone chose to read it there are some guidelines being drawn up . ACT like adults ALL OF YOU FFS

fair enough 🙂 .... inflation does seem higher than most in Europe apart from eastern ? so defiantly something relates to brexit , although other factors at play too

the aim is to keep everyone posting and being respectful to each other .... how I chose to do that is my decision but thanks for the advice

The moderation has given cooling off periods to people from both sides of the discussion you just may not have realised it . It's a predominantly left wing forum .... so likely the moderation team will have more moderators from that side tbh .... if I ban someone it'll likely be for a reason not based on politics and that's the way the moderators will hopefully operate going forward . id like personally to see more discussion and fewer personal gripes in the forum too ... however much people disagree . I think you'd be shocked but the moderators have likely ignored a few reports about you to aid discussion .

no change in the mods apart from I've rejoined a month or so back .... im sure you and others can appreciate that moderating is not the easiest task in the world ... there is no cancel culture as you've put it , but like anything moderators have to make decisions .... @eFestivals will be draughting up some clear guidelines which all forums operate to they are a work in progress at the moment . The report button has been used on many occasions lately and if the mods banned everyone concerned then discussion wouldn't exist on this thread and there wouldn't be anyone left .
