I honestly with yesterday don't think that would be quick enough. I was at my desk yesterday and got on the page the second I got the alert and was still too slow. I even had the reg etc pre loaded!

Good grief, you were unlucky. Sorry to hear that:(

Hopefully!!!!! I've taken a stop driving so it won't be now haha

I had to nip out for 10mins in the car before, had the laptop open on the passenger seat and tethering from my phone, in case the alarm went off and I could pull over and apply lightening fingers. DESPERATE FINGERS

Ohh I thought they meant from the main site. Well aware of those ££££££££

The tickets are usually double and then Fly Glastonbury do cheaper caravans etc. We usually hire a van to go down anyway, so it ends up not being too dissimilar in price. It is more expensive than people want, it just saves a lot of stress, I guess. If you're willing to pay it.

I think he means the package deals like if you want Glamping

She does mean this yes :P, some of them are not toooo expensive. They go first though

What do you mean by hospitality?  Did your page have a special button?

Well, when the GA happens, instead of trying on the Glastonbury site, go to the sites that sell hospitality tickets. There are a few. My friends did this last year.

Managed to get through easily over the mobile network whilst in Austria in 2013, and until a few years ago was always pretty successful from Ireland. No extra benefit that I've seen from only being as far away as Ireland anymore though.

Maybe they allocate tickets to various countries, to give everyone around the world a chance? Maybe, this could be a ridiculous notion though.

Not the main sale, but I was in Prague for the resale in April using both wifi and data. No luck.

The resale was insane, I've had one success with it years ago and that was when they were selling for an hour!!! I don't remember exactly how long this year, but it was around 15mins. The other option is just going straight for hospitality when the red button is hit in October, double the cost, but kind of worth it, if you get them in October.

  8. On an interesting note for future Glastonbury sales. Two different sets of friends were very successful last year in October. One was in Spain and got through straight away. The other was in Amsterdam and managed to get through twice, successfully. They were both UK residents too, on holiday at the time. I tried a VPN in the resales, didn't bring me much luck. I think I will get my self to Amsterdam this year for GA in October.

    So alerts happened yesterday 10.28am, 10.34am, 10.40am     1.50pm, 14.09pm, 14.24pm,      (just before sale) 3.47pm, 3.53pm...... let's not give up hope just yet.

We have had morning fiddles around the same time today.. let's hope it follows a simlar-ish pattern this afternoon.

  10. Now the add registrations is "no event found" but now I refresh it it says "the page you are looking for used information you have entered. Returning to that page might cause any action you took to be repeated, do you want to continue?" This is good right? If I hit refresh will it just take me through to autofilled page to proceed or payment page. I think people were saying this is what helped them yesterday?

I've enquirerd to all the possible place and unless you're willing to fork out £1700 each ticket to a company who aren't an official distributed (confirmed by Glastonbury hospitality team) then I'm afraid not

Thanks for this, could you send me links to them anyway so I can have a gander please.

Oh sweet what are you having tattooed?

I'm Having a couple added to my legs. Then plan is to cover them. I'm currently having a lovely eagle on the side of my leg above the ankle. Done by this amazing Italian artist, in the traditional style. No Glastonbury inspired ones...... Yet.

  13. So tattoo is going fine. Clutching my phone in my hand and have my laptop behind me in case it's all systems go. Getting some funny looks in the studio, but meh. It's Glastonbury for goodness sake!!

What's the best non Glastonbury festival you've been to? I'm thinking of volunteering at a different festival this summer - any suggestions of ones to go for?

End of The Road Festival http://endoftheroadfestival.com/ looks great this year, oh and Festival Number 6 is a beautiful little festival in Portmeirion. It's actually in the town, so it gives a really lovely and surreal feel to the festival. Right by the sea too.

Also seeing Coldplay in Manchester in a few weeks 4th June.

Thankfully, the man: BECK, is also playing Manchester and not just Glastonbury. I bagged me some tickets for that. I do hope I get to see him twice this year though :)
