How do you know 21P are playing Wednesday?

Still hoping for at least one big name for Friday and a more 'alternative' sub for Martin Garrix.

They said it on Facebook a while ago. But I am afraid that this is it for bigger names, because they announced a bunch of smaller names today too. They are doing this after last big name announcement.

Yeah, I have no clue about popularity of certain acts in Czech, so nice to hear a local's point of view!

Why do you think 'heritage' acts are not possible? The Cure last year (obviously they are bigger than the two above) or Midnight Oil in 2017 or Robert Plant a few years ago show that CoO likes this type of names.

Also, are London Grammar more popular in Czech than Foals or Alt-J? Quite surprising.

Its not much about popularity, just LG never played in Czech republic, Foals or Alt-J were here multiple times.

Also regarding "heritage" act, admin on Colours Facebook page said that there might be some bigger act for older audience, might be hint to Van Morrison. i remember from some article that director of festival likes him and she always wanted to bring him here. He has a gig on 16.7. at Germany, so that's just an another guess.

Has anyone here been to Melt or Colours of Ostrava festivals? If so, would you recommend?

Hi, citizen of Ostrava here! Colours, also known as little Sziget, is very family friendly festival placed in a lovely industrial area. Locals, Slovak and Polish fans are majority but there are LOTS of kids and even little babies there. Festival is super clean and you wont see any wasted individuals during night. As for as lineup goes, you cant expect miracles with Colours budget (Florence, Beck, Pearl Jam :D for example are ruled out for this year). Theres a big discussion event during Colours which is called Meltingpot with aprox. 150 panels, each translated into czech and english at the very least.

Transport and accomodation is the biggest problem indeed. Ostrava has its own airport with connection to Prague, London, Dusseldorf and Milano i think. And our campsite, which is located very close to area, is having problems with terrain and trees might fall on your head so it isnt known if theres going to be this campsite next year. Another campsite is located at castle 2km by walk from festival area.

Here is summary of pros and cons in English http://www.katechka.com/colours-of-ostrava-experience-review/

    Cheers
