Might have missed this, are these the stage splits?

Na, this is just the poster in a different format on the website isn't it? It wouldn't fit with the info from Bar Tool on number of acts on each stage, nor the info on electronic tent headliners (nor the placement of electronic artists in general).

Unfortunately I think you're right. I'd be a bit gutted if they finally come back and they're on the Pyramid before Arctic Monkeys or something.

Two of my favourite bands but even for me, that would be tragic. I think Other stage if it happens but I feel like 2017 was the year (for a while). Can't see them being too active in 2019 at this stage, would love to be wrong though, of course.

This. If they're still touring in 2019 give them an other stage slot ffs, absolutely criminal that they weren't there last year.

Yeah, I was saying this straight after the gig too. Would've been perfect for the Sunday night.

That really was some show last night! 22, A Million tracks were all brilliant, but the main highlight for me was the solo version of Woods with JV adding layers upon layers of vocal on his wee sample machine, spine-tingling stuff.

22, a million tracks went down brilliantly, I thought. I love the album and I know it wasn't as well received when released as the others had been but I heard a lot of people saying after the gig how pleasantly surprised they were by how good those tracks were live. Holocene, The Wolves (fantastic singalong was unexpected for me) and Over Soon were my highlights. Really special gig. Everyone going to the remaining shows - enjoy!

Great show tonight, it sounded grand!  They did check ID on the door.  Started at about 8.15 and the break was 22 minutes.  Spoilers follow.

Abosolutely loved the first half with the 22 a million set.  2nd half was cool.  Still preferred the first album songs with the raw edge they used to have, with less musicians etc.  Still lovely to hear a few of those songs though.  Lights and set were great, love a bar break too!

What time did it end please? Was it 90 mins of Bon Iver as per the set times?

Tbf that’s a pretty class mix. And the fest is renowned for setting and atmosphere so the lineup probably doesn’t matter.

The Berlin Lollapalooza lineup that came out today made me think of R+L though. It’s got The National into The Weeknd one night and then Imagine Dragons into Kraftwerk the next.

And to think we all thought them subbing on the Pyramid was tough for them...

George Ezra could get added the bill maybe. New album out and is touring this summer too by the sounds of things. Few guitar based bands that are still possible for the bill

    Kings of Leon

    The Kooks

    George Ezra

    1975

    The Libertines

    Chrvches

The 1975 aren't playing festivals this year, one of the band tweeted it (and someone put it in the Reading thread). They're one of the favourites for Glastonbury next year so I assume they've got an album on the way late this year/early next (I think they're awful so haven't followed the timings). I reckon the Kooks are quite likely though and after the Reading announcement, I guess KoL can't be ruled out - you'd think they'd announce very soon if it's them

Well yeah but these aren't hard and fast rules. It seems like the majority of the time they prefer to have acts returning to different stages.

Say they have Wolf Alice, CHVRCHES, Skepta, The Vaccines and The Wombats to fit into two 3rd main slots and 3 NME headline slots. Wolf Alice's management demand a slot headlining a stage so they're instantly put as NME headliners. Out of the remaining four acts, three of them last appeared on main and one last appeared on NME. They ideally want to put two of the first group (CHVRCHES, Skepta and The Vaccines) as NME headliners and the remaining one is 3rd down main along with The Wombats. They decide CHVRCHES and Skepta will work better in the tent than on main so The Vaccines end up having to play main again.

I'm not saying any of the above happened, but just because The Vaccines may be returning to the main stage that doesn't invalidate the point.

Knowledge or speculation? Would this also apply to outside the UK? (Thinking of Mad Cool)

Wow, you were right about it being shit! Delighted with this news though!

Wait, is this saying that on 21st, 22nd, 25th, 27th and 2nd - there are two Bon Iver sets?!

I never said it was. I still think the average glasto goer would rather just go for The Cure at BST or whatever act instead of suffering through R&L

They would in terms of acts but I think many will be looking for the multi-day/camping option to deliver on that 'going away' need rather than a day out - R&L would be the first to look at for many due to its size and history and attracting big names/great acts. Personally, I was keeping an eye on Reading for a day ticket and it hasn't even delivered on that. I reckon a lot of Glastonbury-goers will be looking at the plethora of great festivals abroad (inc great line-ups) and the smaller UK ones rather than R&L or BST

Is there much to do around the area of the venue? We've only ever been to London for O2 Brixton or Camden shows so the Hammersmith area is new to us, I know it's a sunday which doesnt help but any good time killers/ pubs/ coffee shops

Pubs-wise, the Duke of Cornwall right next door and the Swan (less than 5 mins walk and by the Hammersmith and City line station if you're coming in from that way) are  good. Loads of chain restaurants nearby as well, pretty busy area. If football's your thing and you're going on the 25th there's a sports bar that will have the league cup final on too (that's my plan)

By doing that you're putting FOB in the same league as Foo, never going to happen unfortunately. This festival won't be rescued.

This would be a great point if Kendrick wasn't co-headlining with Panic at the Disco. Not that the suggestion will happen though, of course.

Really can't see Royal Blood headlining. Don't fit with the rest of the festival, Run DMC makes a lot more sense imo. Especially as they usually have an 80s throwback as one of the headliners

I haven't been to Bestival (read a fair bit about it) so can you tell me what makes you and others so sure that RB wouldn't be booked because they don't fit the festival? Given the clue, RDB's apparent eagerness to book a rock headliner, their lack of appearance on today's R&L announcement,  their current status and their availability, they look to be the favourite to me (as an outsider at least).

    everything :P

but you know i can't say.

Just out of interest, does whether you decide to say or not simply come down to whether you heard directly (press release?) or whether it was another source? For example, you not only put 2017 R&L headliners on the site, you also tweeted them. Surely they wouldn't want it mentioned either?!
