  1. Would love to know the results of the survey we did about acts we would like to see. we are just a very small group….. be interesting to know the top 20/30 acts…see what direction people would like the festival to go.
  2. What about Rick Astley as an afternoon special guest 😉
  3. We Uber priority on the final morning (about 11.30) we live near the campsite. Took a while, about 20mins to accept, 10mins to arrive. cost us £18….normally about £13/£14 to get to Southsea x
  4. Victorious definitely improved on a lot and I was happy with all the improvements…..So Thanks Victorious Team. Toliets, Bars, Queues etc so much better. Phone signal much better. improvements that could be made: screens outside comedy tent….would of loved to seen the stage. food and drink prices were steep…soft drinks ranged from £1.75 - £3.50. And £8 for a tiny portion of cheesy chips which were cold. (However the skatepark did piping hot ones, twice the size for £5? - they were much cheaper) The park & ride prices at £35 per person was a joke, and forced people to look for cheaper parking in city centre. The camping prices for the shuttle seem odd! Not that I use camping, but it’s cheaper for my family to buy camping tickets and use local buses than standard tickets. anyhow, should get seaside stage - bandstand back this year, so more space x
  5. I’m still going big with Foo Fighters, and Lana del Ray for my daughter! as others said it’s not 10 years 😉 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victorious_Festival
  6. Hahaha! Yeah I’m feeling it today, not moved off my sofa much! They bought camping tickets, but didn’t camp, just used the shuttle buses. They went and got their camping wristbands, and just went home each night xx
  7. I live close to the campsite, it’s about 1 mile/20mins walk. Normally I use local buses, lifts or taxis to travel down, however this year I was told about people in our local area, near the campsite, buying camping tickets, and just using the buses and not camping. So out of interest I just priced up tickets for 2 adults and a 15 year old for weekend. Standard Weekend Tickets: 469.80 Family Camping Tickets: 453.60 shuttle bus extra for camping: 115.50 (569.10 with camping)
  8. We had a really great weekend. Noticed Victorious took on board some of the suggestions - So Thanks Victorious, the improvements were noticed. - Toilets and toilet staff. - signs directing people on Castle stage (although ignored by people) - improved signal for mobiles, not great, but improved. -more screens on Common stage if you sat further back. Queues for toilets/bars/food, so much better.
  9. Totally fine, a little soft, and occasional mud patch… but all my friends are planning flip flops today 🥰
  10. How was everyone’s first day? Even though it was really busy in places, felt quieter? Or was that just me? Longest queue for Toliets, food, drinks etc was less than 10 mins for us.
  11. It’s reported in the local paper https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/people/victorious-festival-2023-fans-speculate-mcfly-could-be-the-special-guests-for-saturday-lineup-at-portsmouth-music-festival-4267164
  12. Campers are starting to arrive….car park next to Sainsburys is full of camper vans. (I live close by, and just done my weekend shop there) plus all the signposts are up directing you to campsite.
  13. 23 starts in Leigh Park, goes via Havant, through Bedhampton, then Farlington/Drayton then into cosham, via north end, commercial road, hard then into Southsea x
  14. Locals…..It’s going to be a nightmare getting down to Southsea if your not close enough to walk 🤦‍♀️. we live near campsite, so on the stagecoach bus route. In fact the Number 23 will stop near my house. So getting down won’t be too much of an issue. Although Saturday maybe busier as no trains from Havant, so most Leigh Park/Havant, Farlington & Drayton folks will be on buses before they get into Pompey. We always got a choice of seats previous years. But thinking once past Cosham, they will be packed. Coming back, we chosen to ask my Dad. Anyone living between Southsea to Cosham will use buses, and will probably be quiet after Cosham heading to Havant. Everyone will head for number 23. They only run every 30mins in the evenings, until 1.30 Friday & Saturday. And 11.30 Sunday.
  15. That’s interesting, obviously someone is following this page. Time to start on the 2024 requests then 🥰
  16. That year it snowed and all First Bus got cancelled….and Stagecoach were still running! Be okay getting to Victorious, however coming home will be another story, Everyone will use our bus 🤦‍♀️
  17. UPDATE on my previous post: First Solent buses striking all weekend. Stagecoach currently okay Trains Striking Saturday.
  18. Have you heard anything about bus strikes that weekend? My friend was on a bus the other day, and sent me a message saying they are striking, but not seen any more info. I'm on the 23 bus route, near the campsite......so pleased Fridays and Saturday they run till 01.30 am...just Sunday to work out x
  19. On Facebook : Castle Stage build has started
  20. Agreed....My fav one, is the little kids wristbands......you write you phone number on a wristband, in case your kid goes missing. Most of the app is set up before Victorious etc.....its just interested if the finding friends option works.
  21. For those with the app.....Map gone live again, this time, its has nearly everything on there. Most things in same places. Comedy Tent has moved to back of common stage, and Common Stage moved further back. Looking forward to seeing if the Find my friends function works, considering for the last 10 years its been a mobile Blackspot.
  22. Judging by the ground during the headliners, most people managed it. These were everywhere lol
  23. No worries. Facebook has a Victorious page "Victorious Festival (Chat, Banter and Information)" Lots of advice about where to stay including people offering rooms etc.......although there is some dodgy adverts too xx
  24. I had a play with the map.......its early days and appears they have to do a lot more work. Stages have been put in. Not many changes. Kids stage seems to have moved to where the comedy tent was in 2022. There is a unnamed stage on the commom field, which I am assuming is the comedy tent. It appears to be were the old strongbow stage was. (As you enter the common stage from the road, opposite the fish and chip shop and blue reef aquarium. ) And the common stage seems further back as there is no car park behind. All this could change. Also it appears the are doing a find my friend function, as you enter your friends phone number and it locates them to the nearest feet!!!
