  1. SNP can put in amendments with full knowledge that they will have zero influences at any stage in terms of peace negotiations. Starmer will potentially be dealing with Israel in a year so very different dynamic.
  2. You know they will select an anti woke minister next.
  3. So do labour need a shadow common sense minister now!
  4. In fairness to Corbyn he believes what he believes, but that interview shoes why he would have been a terrible PM.
  5. A messy hung parliament could fall early and let the Tory’s back in, I say be careful what you wish for.
  6. The public will no doubt fall into his trap and vote him to do everything, when best plan would be starve him from attention.
  7. She can’t be, the right wingers have told Rishi he is not allowed.
  8. There is a big difference with the SNP and labour. The former will have no role in negotiations in the Middle East in a years time, the latter we hope will.
  9. How will AI judge those subjective foul decisions?
  10. I think the members may vote for her, but I don’t see her getting through the MP whittling down. If Sunak wins the election there is no vacancy. If he loses then I assume the red wall falls and a lot of her potential supporters lose their seats. I get the impression Tory MPs are using her as an attack dog, but will dump her when she stops being useful.
  11. Two me there are 2 different debates here. The first is whether people should have the right to protest and in my view they do. The second is will the protest have a positive impact. If the purpose of protest is to highlight the issue then possibly, if it is to gain support, I think it will probably do the opposite.
  12. The way you played could have got a 2-2 draw if Son had taken that chance. I thought it was a good team performance, but felt the red cards were really avoidable.
  13. The thing is with VAR there will still be 50/50 ish decisions that will have to go one way or the other. Class from Ange tonight "You have to accept the referee's decision, that is how I grew up. This constant erosion of the referee's authority is where the game is going to get - they are not going to have any authority. We are going to be under the control of someone with a tv screen a few miles away. The decision is the decision. In 26 years I have had plenty of bad decisions, I have had plenty fall in my favour. It is what it is."
  14. I think it does matter because you sometimes get the impression that some on the left criticise Hamas because they know they really should, but at the same time don’t really mean it. They are putting way more responsibility on recent deaths on Israel than the people who co-ordinated the attacks that caused an escalation. They are very lenient on Hamas hiding in public places using innocent Palestinian as human shields. If your point is assigning blame doesn’t move us forward then I agree with you. Hopefully things are being done to progress and limit deaths.
  15. Do Hamas accept any responsibility for the deaths?
  16. Swindon are a funny team, Wrexham drew 5-5 with them! It’s an amazing win and you also seem to be performing in national league.
  17. I think James is a bit common to go by first name!
  18. I think you have Penny V Cleverly for the moderate, fiscal conservatives and Suella v Kemi for the culture war conservatives with the winners battling it out. Interestingly if the conservatives had a bad day Penny could be out, she is the only one that replaced a labour mp.
  19. It’s interesting I used to think Priti Patel was bad, but she takes it to a new level. It’s effectively a pitch to replace Sunak.
  20. The advert features the Wrexham owners, so thumbs up for me!
  21. How can you follow the normal rules of war against a terrorist organisation who don’t? Do you potentially get in the position where you lose the right to defend yourself and just have to accept what’s coming. I’m not necessarily arguing that you’re incorrect that it’s not a proportional response. However i don’t remember you countering with what kind of response you feel would be proportional.
  22. I think it’s pretty much an impossible question to answer as you are effectively saying if X loses so many innocent lives it’s proportional to accept that Y does. How can you debate what’s not proportional if you are not willing to set the bar of what is? As I have said I haven’t heard one person who states it’s not proportional counter with what is proportional.
  23. But that’s not my point. The question is what is proportional?
  24. The thing is it’s easy to say it’s not proportional, I haven’t seen anyone make a good, reasoned article what is proportional.
  25. Those ministers and MPs probably won’t be the one dealing with the Israel regime if they win the election. Starmer has to think a few moves ahead. Also I have no doubt some are positioning themselves should the leadership vacancy ever become available rather than any ideology.
