  1. As I have said it’s great building new houses in theory, but this can’t happen in isolation. Where did the kids go to school, where do the new residents access a gp, how can the roads cope with more people coming in and out.
  2. 5 years ago Luton and Coventry were both in league 2, gives hope to all of us lower league fans. Not overly impressed by the quality of the play offs. Think at least 2 relegated premier league teams will be straight back up.
  3. If labour get in power, they should do everything (within reason) to change electoral rules to their advantage. The Tory’s have done the same in power and will do the same next time they are in.
  4. So it’s ok for the Torys to try and rig the system through boundary changes and voter ID (when no evidence of voting fraud), but not ok for labour to do the same.
  5. Agree, very well deserved. Played quite poorly today, but over the season deserved that bit of luck. Interestingly BT sport coverage of national league miles better than champions league.
  6. Wrexham did the same in 2012 (thanks Jamie Vardy) and were stuck in the league for 11 more years. I am sure it won’t be as long for Sheffield Wednesday.
  7. I really think the football league should consider changing the play off format to something similar to the national league. The single match knockout’s are far more exciting.
  8. Do red wall people hate protest more than anyone else? Disappointing for me, but I guess labour feels it’s not a fight worth fighting.
  9. Everton have Bournemouth at home last game. That’s the sort of game you want. I think it will finish as it is now.
  10. Watching live football as a neutral is a great experience. This weekend I went to Notts County V Boreham Wood in the play offs. Great game with no stress! I like the look of the championship play offs. Luton, Middlesbrough, Coventry and Sunderland are all more interesting to me than the likes of Norwich and WBA who have been up and down so many times.
  11. I’m not in the slightest bit interested, but happy for those who like this sort of stuff to keep it.
  12. I looked at the last comparable elections and both greens and Lib Dem’s polled higher in the local elections than the general elections. I think people will make different decisions next year knowing only 2 people can be PM. I also think (I wouldn’t be surprised) if it’s a hung parliament labour are in a good position. The SNP, Lib Dem’s and Plaid aren’t in a great negotiating position as I don’t think any could go with the Tory’s.
  13. I had half an eye on the game and shocked to see an ex Wrexham player Kwame Thomas is at Dundee. Can’t see him doing anything in the SPL if they keep him.
  14. There is only one Wrexham and they are currently celebrating in Vegas!
  15. We all know why they did it. It’s a purely political move to stop people voting who they think (predominantly) won’t vote for them.
  16. Thanks for reminding me. I meant to go on the school run and slipped my mind 3 votes for labour for me.
  17. Are the SNP changing course on universal benefits then?
  18. Labour won by 12 percent in 1997, what are people expecting?
  19. Agreed. Their pledge were made before covid/furlough etc. The situation has changed since early 2020 so can’t expect labour to promise a 2020 plan.
  20. I watched the last 15 minute only , but thought Everton looked quite decent,
  21. It’s fine building a load of houses, but you need to have the infrastructure in place to cope . Where I Iive they built the houses without thinking where the kids would go to school or how the roads would cope with the additional traffic.
  22. I can get over that, but when people question the integrity of the officials, to me it’s a step too far. The idea that there is a big conspiracy and certain referees are against certain teams is silly
  23. I used to like Klopp, but have now got fed up with him. Really disappointed by the comments about the referee, I think they really need to hit managers harder when they do stuff like this.
  24. To me it was a complete bottle match, spurs bottled it for 30 minutes, then Liverpool for 60 minutes then spurs spursed it up in the end. Great for a neutral though!
