  1. I heard someone say we don't want to see scenes like this, in my view this is exactly what we want to see!!
  2. I remember them saying Germany v France was the defacto final in Euro 2016. They also said France v Belgium was the defacto final in the last world cup, they were correct that time!
  3. I went to several matches in Euro 96 and countries were playing boring football, but it felt with better players.
  4. Watch Ronaldo win the world cup for Portugal with an injury time winner in the Messi v Ronaldo finale!
  5. The King looking to get a minor part in the next season of welcome to wrexham?
  6. Is it just my nostalgia kicking in, or are most if these teams not at the level of those in the late 90s.
  7. They have 2 other independents (including Bernie) who act like democrats. I doubt it will make much difference, other than potentially splitting the vote and letting republicans in next time.
  8. If they win their next match it will be a phenomenal achievement for a nation that size to reach 2 finals in a row
  9. I don't think you can read that much into a one off game in a knockout. To me the big failing for England in that final was not the result in isolation, but the fact they were at home.
  10. I'm not sure it's the conditions, more how quick the games come. Bale only had to play a game a week in the play offs.
  11. I guess that depends on you trusting the world rankings. I think Wales, USA and Iran were all quite poor. I think there were a few teams eliminated in the groups better than USA.
  12. Games that they lost! A lot of these players aren't competing for league titles, or champions leagues.
  13. I think you can pretty much discount the performances so far when it comes to England v France. I think England were in the weakest group and why Frances (and group opponent) was slightly tougher, both have been seeing off players who wouldn't be close to their squads, never mind the team. I feel France have a bit more big game experience, so would make them favourites. However it is a game that could go either way. . I am pretty confident Brazil and Portugal will go through fairly comfortably, so put your money on the opponents!
  14. In my area a good pantry is different to a food bank. The local pantry takes things like fruit and veg and I think some meat and anyone go. The food bank is longer life stuff and restrictions who can use it.
  15. Corbyn PM, pincher by name, pincher by nature chancellor, Webbe home secretary, Hancock foreign secretary, the SNP who ignored the covid test health secretary. What could go wrong!!
  16. The rate this is happening the independents will be the majority before long, maybe this is Corbyns best plan to become PM!
  17. I know it's a minor groan, but am I the only one who is getting fed up with these random statistics that seem to be popping up during games!
  18. Very one sided, but thats an enjoyable 45 minutes for a neutral.
  19. Wrexham are playing there in the FA cup. I suspect they will work something out, so they keep playing there.
  20. After a really exciting group stage, these last 16 ties have looked really mismatched on paper and have so far played out that way. I think the next 4 look more interesting on paper than the first 4. The quarter finals should be some good games.
  21. I think the France v Tunisia score is irrelevant. The 3 teams that won their first 2 games, lost the third. That's no coincidence.
  22. I would have loved it if Ghana had gone full on time wasting with 2 minutes to go and took the 2-0, would have driven Uruguay mad and be sweet revenge.
  23. Having lived in the constituency next door most of my life, I am surprised Chester is as labour as it votes in elections.
  24. Ghana are 4/1 to beat Uruguay. Am I missing something, or is that quite generous. Uruguay not impressed me at all this tournament.
