  1. I'm not a fan of the tournament but it makes it easier to qualify for the Euros, Scotland must get past the groups one day! With a decent run in the nation's league must be frustrating how you messed up the world cup play off
  2. Disappointing to see Lawro jumping on the "woke" bandwagon. The BBC were correct to give him his marching orders because his act had grown old. In recent years the ITV coverage has overtaken BBC, so they should ship a few more out.
  3. Decisive action by Starmer, big difference between how torys and SNP have acted at times.
  4. Corbyns focus was middle East politics and nuclear weapons. Fine as a backbench MP but not the main priorities of the electorate. Then again I don't think he ever wanted to be PM.
  5. It's probably an over correction after the Palestinian flag waving under Corbyn, however I just accept it's not aimed at me.
  6. Having home advantage was big though. I think because of the strange shared format people forget it was effectively a home tournament for England.
  7. I have seen my club relegated 3 times and its rubbish, Wales will probably get relegated this weekend and it won't impact on me in the slightest. I haven't noted a single Wales fan who is slightly bothered. I still don't support the nation's league. I have such a strong memory of World cup and European cup finals, can't remember the 2 nation's league finals, couldn't remember the current champions until I read today. It also in my view maintains the current gap between European and non European teams, by stopping non European playing European teams outside tournaments.
  8. I don't think the fans/players care about the nation's league, Wales are going to get relegated as well and couldn't care less.
  9. I see labour led minority government. I could see SNP agreeing to abstain on votes required to allow labour to form a working government
  10. Haaland can have a good break as well!
  11. There is a big discussion on the Wrexham message board about whether to respect the minute silence or not. I'm not the biggest fan of the monarchy, but I personally see little to be gained from booing during a minute silence. If you don't want to respect it, come to your seat late.
  12. For all the talk about an easy job it's not one I would want to do. I like my privacy and the ability to go where I want when I want. Having to watch one of those jubilee concerts would push me over the edge.
  13. I hope I am allowed to work it and get an extra day annual leave to work at another time.
  14. Most kids football has gone as well. I'm not a royalist but can't believe the queen would want kids stuck in mourning instead of being out playing in a field.
  15. They are mourning, maybe we need to give them more money to help them.
  16. I hold the social media account as well. Most of my posts are either praising staff or our students. Are these really things the queen would find disrespectful?
  17. If they want you to be mourning take the week off for poor health.
  18. Would she really have an opinion on work social media blackouts like happening in my work, I'm very sceptical.
  19. I think if the queen was here and able to say what she would want people to do over the next week she would want people to just be kind to each other. I don't think she would be bothered about all these cancelation and token gestures.
  20. I think cancelling football is ridiculous. Some may want to stay home and mourn, but I think it would be a small proportion. People are allowed to get wasted in a nightclub, why not watch a football match. In our work we are not allowed to update our work social media all week. A friend has been told by his work they shouldn't update their personal social media with anything that shows them enjoying themselves.
  21. In my view we shouldn't be postponing games on Saturday, not so much a problem today and tomorrow. If people want to mourn for 10 days fine, let the rest of us get on with our lives and don't hit businesses who rely on the trade.
  22. If Southgate does leave after the world cup then that's the obvious successor in a job he won't want to leave. The only English managers left in the premiership (unless I am forgetting someone) are Howe (also unlikely to leave) Gerrard and Lampard. Could it be the return of big Sam!
  23. Boris will be devastated it's not him making a speech that will be shown all over the world.
  24. Kate is so super she even has time to be a photographer and takes photo of her kids!
