OAKLEY DOWN FARM - DECISION?

Can anyone put me out of my misery and tell me plllleeeeease that the Council has seen sense and we're all gonna party down on Oakley Farm...and not the arse end of the Dorset county line??

ohh havnt been keeping an eye on this - Is that right the venue maybe somewhere else? I loved the spot too but we will be going again regardless (once job secured) but I understand how you feel.

It's a bit of non-news really. Firstly ( to dispel any alarms) it's quite normal for events to have to go through this at some point - I can think of 3 named festivals in our bracket that have been through this in the last 12 months. The Council wanted to make amendments to our licence and we had to go to court to get it decided. In the end the two parties sat round a table and sorted it themselves - no need for any magistrate decision. We got what we wanted and so the festival goes ahead at the usual location.

In fact if anything it's given us the opportunity to have a think about stuff - how it all works & how to keep that unique vibe. This year there will be a few changes to enhance that - once the big name bands are finished ( no more details now though - you'll have to wait until you get there...)
