I think it's great ... As we now have specialist ODI and T20 sides, I'm glad those games are going to count for something, rather than the traditional view on them as just pointless games after the test series.

I think it's a waste of time. They might count towards some made up competition but they're still just pointless games after a test series.

Try telling that to the likes of Roy, Willey, Rashid, Butler etc. 

The game is changing and the other forms need the recognition they deserve.

Fun day, even with the washout last session. 

Hales looked in control for most of it, one loose shot but that's fairly common. Stokes ' innings was stupidly reckless. 

They can bowl, which we should have known anyway. Doubt their batting is as bad as some are guessing.

Points system is pointless.

The game isn't changing, it's changed. 

Recognition? What more recognition does T20 need? It has flashy club competions all around the world, it has its own international World Cup. 

The most sensible option would be to play less or even get rid of the 50 over format.

They were talking about City based franchises for T20 on bbc yesterday when the rain started. What do people think? I would be all for it.

I think its a fantastic idea. The popularity of cricket is decreasing. Yes the traditions of crickets need to be observed but the game needs to evolve, otherwise it will become extinct.

For test cricket to thrive, interest in the game needs to increase. For me the one day game is on its arse. Get rid of it and have 2 t20 competitions. Keep the Friday night county competition. Then have a city based francise competition in late July and early August. Have a game every night and bring all the world superstars over for it. Our t20 competition is pretty woeful compared to the Big Bash and IPL and we need to catch up.

Yes the counties will pull their face at first, but it is the long term health of the test team and game in general that is important, not the individual counties.
