Where are you coming from?

The FastCat is about 18 minutes; the Fishbourne ferry about 45 minutes. If you are going from scum then no idea!

read the festival listing you can also get a push bike to get you to the festival from the ferry terminal

There are still some around, surprisingly i managed to book a room for Newport last week. Places like Sandown still have rooms but no idea how easy it is to get back there after the festival.

The red jet from Southampton to Cowes takes just under 20 mins so either that or the fastcat from Portsmouth depending on which town is easier. Shuttle buses run from right outside the ferry terminal. Don't think you an book as a foot passenger, you just walk on. Have never had problems with it personally.
