THE LAST RITES.....

Looks like its time to issue the Last Rites of the wychwood forum Twigs section as--- as expected posts have dwindled to nowt.

To be expected of course and like a fuschia that needs over-wintering in a warm conservatory--its time tio put it away and remember the gorgeous colour that its brought us... but of course, like a perrenial--it will come back and we shall enjoy it again next year.

I have made some nice new acquintences on here and its been a pleasure bantering with you folks (and lurkers) -- lurkers are great in their own likkle way aren`t they? You KNOW they are there but you cant see them, like The Mysterons really.. i really know how Captain Scarlet felt.

Goodnight Irene.

Den, once a Twig --Always a Twig.

You are right Den - we had this converstaion on the lawn in front of the Songlines Tent - 'give it 3 to 4 weeks and that Forum will be dead!'

Isn't it the case with ALL music forums though, everything shrivels up and dies, and only the 4 or 5 original twiglets hang about. Then, on January 24th. the WISH LIST thread will spark back into life and everyone will bore everyone else with their personal shit (sorry, WISH) list..... Everything changes but everything remains the same.

(I heard that once on the TV series Traffik, with Bill Patterson - and it stuck with me. Weird!)

Still, this Forum WILL return - unlike LT. Got some juicy info on that.

Cheer up ya' northern git - not like you to be down - you need some of my refrigerated Lidl Juice that I have been buying weekly from our local SuperKrauts. I'm even considering inviting you down to the Red Escort Bistro for a home made meal while we're enjoying Larmer Tree. That's if Silke's capable of waddling more than 200 yards.......

Looking forward to seeing you all again - tell Jordan I'll (secretly) palm him another quid or two.

Farewell Twiglets till next year. I've enjoyed the crack on this forum more than any other. Just being a few keeps it more personal I suppose.

If Strongbow Man and TSU read this, sorry for being a bit distracted when we met at Glastonbury. If I tell you ms blue had just had a rather nasty 'pipe blowback' I trust you'll ask no more......

Marooned - see you at Stokes Bay.

...naw, don't go Mr.Blue pleeeeaaaaaaaaassssse - I'll be left all on me own with just that unpredicatable (though, strangely likeable) Jimmy Nail impersonator.

Mr.Blue - we WILL meet at Stokes Bay

Jimmy Nail - we WILL meet at Larmer Tree

....and my personal tip for any one out there who, like me, is amazed and saddened at how quick the Festival Season slips away - get yourself along to The End of The Road Festival, held at Larmer Tree Gardens in September.

Bit chilly, but a crackin' festival to round the season off.

Then, it's back to Fratton Park for another action-packed Pompey Season......
