Kilnaboy

Kilnaboy the band shares its name with a tiny village on the West Coast of Ireland. It has no deep or powerful meaning and to be honest we didn't give it a great deal of thought. However the name has stuck and has grown on us like like the funnell mushrooms in the back of our van. Having spent the early years in the sweaty clubs n pubs of Cardiff, drinking and cavorting excessively, we are now more likely to be found in muddy festival fields worrying apathetic hippies and chasing morris dancers out of town. Most of our ideas and influences stem from a protesting background and the constant frustration of trying to exist in an industry where music is lost in a void of cloned popstars. We will carry on regardless in the hope that music still has the power to change the blinkered perception of mainstream society.

A nice calming end to the fest!

Mike Dawes & Amy Turk

'At only 19 years of age Mike Dawes has already made quite an impact in and around the National music circuit. An experimental solo acoustic guitarist, Mike has already performed with acts such as 'The Martin Harley Band' and received glowing reviews from acts such as Newton Faulkner and David Goo as well as Hollywood A lister Jamie Bell. Mike performs technically virtuosic compositions and arrangements with a style that silences rooms and drops jaws. not only does he produce sounds and effects from his guitars that seem limitless, he performs a variety of pieces with the guitar on his lap, much like a multi-layered piano. It must be seen to be believed. Definitely one to watch'

Kinch

They are very much a contemporary band but their sound has an early 80s flavour and distinct elements of Motown and ska. In reviews, they’ve drawn comparisons with Vampire Weekend, The Jam, The Kooks, Madness, Arctic Monkeys, Dexys Midnight Runners, Born Ruffians and The Doobie Brothers.

In a live setting, they put on a very energetic show and really enjoy engaging their audience.

Subsource !!

Subsource are a frenetic concoction of electro, breakbeat and drum’n’bass executed with fearsome punk rock energy and for a band in the embryonic stages of an assault on Britain’s musical consciousness they already have an impressive CV.

About Mindflux,

Merlins keep

Merlin's Keep are a five-piece Celtic Folk Rock band originating from Grimsby on the east coast of England. They have been together since October 2006, and as well as being excellent musicians, they are also great friends, which becomes evident when they perform on stage.

Critically reviewed as "Rustic Mamas and Papas with a social conscience", Merlin's Keep's music is an exuberant mix of original material with three- and four-part harmonies.

Debunkt

Producer Matt Watts and drummer Nick Holder are the brains and bodies behind Debunkt, a distinctive live electronica act based in London. They are joined by the amazing VJ Candalu (Lucio Cavallari) for live performances. Bass heavy, organic and innovative production combine with the flair of a stomping live drummer to deliver an earth shattering live show. Socio-political concern, inexplicable love for science and a chronic lack of sunlight are among the sources upon which the artists draw their inspiration. Their sound lies between fresh dance acts such as Cursor Minor and vitalic and classics like Orbital and Hexstatic. Debunkt’s passion is the thrill of a live performance and the serving up of something fresh and unique every time.

ZubZub

ZUBZUB is the creation of long-time Ozric Tentacles bass player, Zia Geelani. After more than ten years (1991-2002) of widespread touring, writing, recording and producing with the Ozrics, Zia and his cohorts (including ex-Ozric Tentacle Jon Egan) now concentrate full-time on crafting distinctive dance tunes, where the emphasis is on infectious grooves and strong production.

The ZUBZUB sound incorporates an epic musical feel, fused with cleverly-programmed, deliciously-groovy dance rhythms and seamlessly blending an eclectic variety of styles and genres; Psytrance, drum and bass, strong techno, break-beats and dub are all covered and lavished with a psychedelic lushness. Also in the mix is a distinct taste for ethnic instruments and influence.
