Listen you disillusioned little c**t, the world doesnt work the way you seem to think it does. Just because people feel that a weekend of an enjoyment should be paid for, doesnt make us middle class twats. I'm a student with little money and I do a lot of work to save up for my ticket and I don't like to hear lazy useless pieces of shit like you moaning about us because we dont like idiots jumping over the fence. Back in the day when the tickets were cheaper it may have been more acceptable to hop over the fence but these days tickets are harder to come by so its not alright to be like a moron when there are people who sacrifice a lot for tickets. ALSO, The festival spirit is about being a collective and enjoying the harmony of human company. And the comment about Leeds is just ridiculous. I'm surprised you even go to festivals because you clearly DON'T know what festival spirit is which makes your post completely pathetic and ironic.

I'm a broke student - looking to soak up the reading campsite atmosphere for a day or 2... (without paying)

Thinking about hitchhiking down from Suffolk on Friday.

I don't want to hear about what you think about "cheap skates" like me... I just want to get some tips on how to get on to the campsite for a few days - advice from anyone who's done it personally would be great!

It's gonna be very, very hard trust me you want to plan this like the Italian Job or something because the first chance you get at it will be your best chance (but luckily there are lots of entrances so you can try many times) but the best thing to do is to find a massive group of people, preferably befriend them and walk between them for when they go through the barriers) And you want to monitor the barriers because there are some times when they're very heavy on checking wristbands and others when they're not (they didn't care as much on the Saturday for example because they kind of expected not many people would be trying to get in ticketless then) Even if you do get in, i can pretty much guarantee that you won't be able to get in to the arena so it will just be camping for you (which is still very fun and if you treat it well can actually be better)

Also if you bought a day ticket you could very easily use that and then at the end of the day you could easily camp as long as you've got someone you know with a tent there (or just find some people and stay at theres)

if youve got 2 mates with tickets, get the two of them to go into the campsite, get one of them to come out with both tickets and meet ya, then the two of you go into the campsite using the tickets and ya return the one you borrowed to the owner.

the best way to get in without paying is to volunteer to work there, you will get access to all campsites, the arena and probbaly a few perks like a nice bib to wear, and it wont cost you a penny.
