It's all a bit soon really... feel confident on the headliners though. Foo's headlining Glasto, Oasis at V / T, AC/DC do no festivals and MEtallica / Slipknot / Rammstein for Download.

One part I'm not sure on is Fall Out Boy could headline Download.

Also not sure on Kaiser Cheifs.... could see Kooks 2nd and someone else 3rd, just struggling to think of a suitable band at the moment.

An educated guess would be (this would seem quite possible)-

Friday-Weezer

Saturday-Muse

Sunday-AC/DC

My dream lineup-

Friday-Muse

Saturday-Pink Floyd

Sunday-Radiohead

No one has mentioned Franz Ferdinand yet. 3rd Album out in Jan, reckon they could take a 2nd slot easily or higher depending on the albums reception.

I also sometimes wonder if the Gorillaz 3D thing could be done for a headline set, but doubt it would be now, due to cost. Would also need a new album or the movie to finally happen for it to make sense for next year. File under wish.

Korn's new album comes out next year apparently.

Also Morissey is likely to be out and about next year.

Would love to see Rhymefest play as well... but doubt it'll happen.

Right now though I'm going to start the rumour that Refused will headline the Lockup Stage*

*There is no basis for this rumour.

Surprised at all of the Muse shouts. They only just headlined in 2006 and I expect them to be recording next year. I really don't want to see a repeat headliner from the last three years, and I don't think that we will.

I know lots of folk want Daft Punk, so put them in a tent somewhere please, but I'd have to take a shotgun to my head if I had to endure more than 5 minutes. I'm getting old!

Too big for a tent man. Headlining or nothing. They most definitely have the songs, size and performance to put on a fantastic headline show, even if its not to your taste, and to be honest,it has to be better than the majority of bands being bandied about this thread no?

Well, i said The Strokes would never fit under AM's. Rightly, in retrospect, someone said in the UK they would...

I reckon in the UK Daft Punk arn't big enough to headline reading and Leeds....well, I don't think they are the typre of act that would headline this festival in particular.

although i'd like it, im sure it wouldn't go down that well with the main audience, and i think Festival Republic would be aware of that.
