Ed209
So who do you think will be headlining 2009's festival? I'm thinking AC DC - Reforming and new album on the horizon Tool Then one of the following indie bands - Klaxons/Bloc Party/Artic Monkeys/Oasis!? Any other ideas? Ed209
ooooh, just had a thought. Its possible (only possible mind you) that Chinese Democracy might actually be out by next summer. Could Axel plus support (they're only GnR by name) make an appearance....?

benisright
Green Day / Offspring Arctic Monkeys / Klaxons AC/DC / Slipknot 1st and 2nd headliners there for you. Unlike my usual predictions, this one will be quite static.
micawber
Would love to see - Arcade Fire - Greenday - AC/DC But expect a more tepid - Kaiser Chiefs or Artic Monkeys - Kings of Leon or Kasabian - Greenday or Foo Fighters
Lithium05
Arctic Monkeys Green Day ACDC Although I'm not 100% sure about Green Day. Think they might not be around til 2010. Will probably be someone like (but not necessarily) MCR or Linkin Park Edited August 27, 2008 by Lithium05
micawber
When are the headliners booked? Will they have been booked already?
dakyras
Biffy Clyro will most likely headline a tent if they get another album out.
Jookie
Arctic Monkeys Kaiser Chiefs Kooks Kings of Leon Franz Ferdinand Lostprophets AC/DC The Offspring Slipknot Edited August 27, 2008 by Jookie

headshrinker1979
Green Day, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys
darrenbha
think its telling that the ac/dc thing that as far as i can tell failed miserably at reading was billed as a dress rehearsal, other than that Green Day and Kaiser Chiefs
Redcanadahat
i have a strong feeling that green day are gonna headline. i hope silverchair play another reading :-( or just come back to the Uk in general.
uppercrusties
I think kol would be good. They at least deserve it much more than some headliners over the last two years such as Razorlight and the Killers in my opinion Not on headlining note I'd love to see Hundred Reasons back! Weezer would be cool to see too!
ilovemaiden
Im going with Kasabian, Monkeys, Green Day

benisright
NME bum the arctic monkeys, but which publication doesnt? Im suggesting its going to be an odd year, with Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Green Day. Id rather Kings of Leon instead of Muse though. I think the Monkeys and Green Day are dead certs, with the last position well...anyones.
Technodanceaphobic
Look for Glasvegas to probably end up in one of the high slots on the NME Stage cos NME are bumming them big time! Fri - Some metal band i wont watch! Sat - Kings Of Leon Sun - Arctic Monkeys / Muse Dont book the verve, decent band but pretty boring live i found at V!
