Ravislayer
ACDC doing stadium gigs in april. doesnt rule them out entirely but i'd say it was much less likely there will be a festival appearance now. Still they could decide to finish a european tour with a couple of festivals.....
Bains
Are you sure about RATM?? You know they were there this year? Methinks there'll be some kind of bidding war between Download and Reading for AC/DC.
thomasowen
I would love the strokes to be back, but I dont see it happening. I think Franz ferdinand will play Glasto this year

Ravislayer
true, i expect glasto will have a back to basics line up this year after the failure of Jay-z. and all those glast spammers who come across here and say its about more than the music, clearly they're wrong... Ravislayer
i didnt mean his performance was a failure, i wasnt there. I was referring to the failure to sell out all the tickets, mostly attributed to his headlining.

candy_cane_boy
they did sell out, it was a slow seller because of the weather problems the previous year. anyway, it'll sell out again this year and Glastonbury is more than the music Reading headliners - The Cure, Arcade Fire, AC/DC - ambitious

breadmanjiro
Arcade Fire apparently don't want to do festivals any more. I'd imagine Arctic Monkeys will headline really...... Last played in like, 2006, are one of the biggest bands in Britain, and should have the new album out (which Josh Homme may be producing !) in the first of half of next year...... It'd be sick. fat_man_joe
I think everyone can agree that The Strokes would be the best headline act possible?
metallimuse
After reading the news today i reckon Benn will pull a fast one and get Beyonce to headline the Sunday! With Slayer supporting!

Benj
Im not getting into this debate, because its just another excuse for glasto goers to come over here and spam us for no reason, but realistically, even BBC news was full of stories about why they hadnt sold out. Dunney77
I can bet anything the headliners will be; Friday: Arctic Monkeys Saturday: Kings of Leon Sunday: AC/DC or Prodigy all in all a quallllitty lineup
thetime
probably 2 out of the 3 healdiners will be bands that have already headlined glastonbury in the last 2 yrs, all before reading. who says its not about the healdiners. nowimjustsentimental
I reckon that with the number of proposed reunions/ bands back from hiatus that we're likely to see a few of the following batch of big names: NO DOUBT STONE TEMPLE PILOTS JANE'S ADDICTION AC/DC PLACEBO Personally at the mo my faves for headliners are: FRIDAY- GREEN DAY NO DOUBT PLACEBO SATURDAY- ARCTIC MONKEYS THE STROKES WEEZER SUNDAY- AC/DC STONE TEMPLE PILOTS SLIPKNOT That is all.
