Saw where the wild things are yesterday. One of the best childrens films I have seen in a while. Great visually, simple, 90 mins long and likeable characters. Also no "in jokes" for the adults watching. The type of film I would have loved as a child.

So I watched I'm Still Here, the Joaquin Phoenix mockumentary. Absolutely superb I thought, was in tears at a few points. Performance of a lifetime from Pheonix too.

can you buy dvd's that are bigger than 4.7gb? actually, how much would it cost for a pack of blurays (without cases) in the likes of asda? i should really be using these to burn my films to.

Kevin Smith has announced after his next film Hit Somebody he's gonna retire from being a director.

I don't blame him, his last few flicks have been shit and all he does now it argue with the press about how they don't like it.

watched zombieland again yesterday. i could seriously watch that film once a week and never get bored.

and i hear that they are making a sequel which is great news

How very dare you!

I watched The Kings Speech and The Fighter over the weekend. They both dragged on in my opinion, The Kings Speech being the better of the two films.

I thought The Fighter was good due to Bale and Melissa Leos performances. Story was standard enough and Wahlberg was/is average at best. Imagine how much better it would have been if it was Bale and Edward Norton!?

Don't know how many will be interested but play have the Alien Anthology on Blu-Ray for £27.99. Seems like a pretty cracking deal to me

I've only seen the trailer on the Predators blu-ray but they seem to have been scrubbed up really nicely! Can't wait to watch Alien & Aliens back to back on shiny blu-ray

Excellent news - hope it's as good as the original which is in my top 5 zombie movies.

Slightly off topic - but I reckon zombies are heading for True Blood now - I love zombies me.

and i don't even like zombie films as a genre. shaun of the dead wasn't that good for me.

Zombieland is being made by a new team though, looks like it could be a crap sequeal.

The guys that did Zombieland are currently working on a Deadpool (superhero nonesense) movie and that's why they aren't doing it.
