thats what I mean, its not "torture porn" a la hostel and saw etc, but its so brutal, so bleak and with such an incredible ending that it really does endear itself. I thought it was one of the best "horror" films I have seen for a long time.

certainly not an easy watch by any stretch of the imagination.

having a little skim through some info on v for vendetta I really cant see how it could in any way be related to martyrs? I will obviously have to watch it to find out, but at this stage they seem absolutely poles apart in terms of theme.

ho hum, I'll have to grab it and watch it, maybe this afternoon!

Saw Transformers 2 just over a week ago, poor, although not unexpected.

Thought 'Knowing' had potential, but was ruined by the alien/celestial beings. Or as someone on IMDB put it, "the Intergalactic Paedos".

Push looked good from the synopsis, but never got going in the slightest for me.

And finally, Bruno... went to see it last night on another freebie. Wasn't anywhere near as good as Borat (I can't comment on Ali G as I haven't seen the film). Followed the same sort of structure as Borat but I guess it's harder to get people hook, line and sinker with the differences in the two characters. Slightly underwhelming. Oh well, at least it was free. :D

Spinal Tap - Funny but I fell asleep as I was watching it at about 4am at Glastonbury!

Choke - Strange, pretty good but I can't remember the ending and I only saw it last night...

The Boondock Saints - Coolio, I liked how it was filmed.
