100% would recommend the lounging area over the stone circle.

the circle will always be special with atmosphere but truely the best views are from field next door. and it's so much bigger that people aren't tripping over stray legs/flares!

never underestimate just how entertained you can be by things other than music. a 'quick' stroll through near the circus/fire stages etc can soon be a whole morning gone! i ended up watching bill bailey in the solar powered cinema one sunrise. hadn't planned that!

Wait until your noisey neighbours go out for a wonder, then sneak into their tent and sh*t in your sleeping bag. It's great fun I do it every year. Didn't have any noisey neighbours last year so just Sh*t in the nearest empty tent. Glasto is like that "anything goes". Can't wait for June to come around again. :P

I don't know if it's being mentioned, but spend at least one Sunrise at the stone circle (I'm usually there for at least 3 over the week), the atmosphere is amazing and you get people in really wrcked states doing the funniest of things... People watching is great, especially when they are tripping all over the place.

Eat at least one serving of Tartiflette Originale from La Grande Bouffe at the NW corner of the Jazz Field, you cant miss it, just cast your eyes left of the enormous queue outside the Brothers Bar and you will find festie food heaven.

And one very important tip to remember and apply after reading all these One Thing to See or Do...

Do NOT expect to see all of this epic behemoth of a festival in 5 days. Next year will be my tenth visit in 14 years and I STILL havent seen it all.

And do NOT...I repeat do NOT NOT NOT expect ANY comparison to V AT ALL! Leave all your V experiences and bad memories at the door. You have been warned! And expect to be scared...very scared. Mwaa haa haaaaaaaaaaaa!

At this rate I don't think I'll bother with the bands and just spend all week getting lost, wasted and eating food at the Stone Circle!

if you approach the festival from the East you will park in carparks off Blue route...and enter via the 'Hill of Death'. From the top you get your first view of the entire site...and whether you get there in daylight or darkness will be something you never forget...

whenever i come back its that view that makes it feel like i'm home... :P
