FESTIVAL AWARDS

Are you trying to wind someone up? He likes his Larmer you know, won't have a word said against it.

But you're right, it's scandalous that Wychwood won nothing. I think people have 'their' festival which they'll vote for no matter how good or bad a particular year has been rather than reflecting the individual festival.

Hohum, next year eh?

Yes, strange one that - vehement in his dislike of 'plinky plonky' World AND Folk music but long time fan of Larmer Tree (though, not as long as some!).

I think he'd be orgasmic if the LT headliner was Satus 3-chords...........

It is also true that you have indeed attended more Larmer Tree Fests than us-but it is also very true that we`ve had MORE FUN than you could ever dream of... spent more money than you ever would at a festival and i finally speculate that I have blurted me lot on many more occasions than you at Larmer Tree

--------------------------------------------------------------

Only ONE of those statements is DEMONSTRABLY true! - the rest, as you admit, is wishful speculation.

AND, if we're to include Tibetan Chanting - I have just OVER 4,500 cd's - and that, my coal munching chum, EXCLUDES my collection of Scottish Pipe Band Music..............

Aww Peter - I didn't realise you were so Cynical.........though spot in with LT me'thinks!

Are we to see the return of the very promising Stokes Bay - if so, WHERE?

I'm sure the gratepretender might be interested in a Bagpipe Workshop, especially if there's a 'wee dram' involved - after all, they do say that Geordies (and Consetteers) are just Jocks wi'their brains knocked oot!

btw. Larmer Tree is still one of my favourite festivals, just thought last year was a bit flat (stale) - End of the Road Festival was much livelier and seemed (to me) to use the same venue to greater effect. No gong for that one either. Perhaps it's ME......ooh err

I'm sure the peacocks would love the noise, especially if the gratedenini could be dragged away from the Tibetan Monk Chanting workshop and persuaded to participate.

On a more serious note, I share your view re: Wychwood. Excellent festival that deserves greater recognition.

But, of course, any festival can nominate themselves for a Festival Award and then lobby their own mailing list, family, friends, drinking partners, etc. to vote for their own nomination.

Personally I have better things to do which is why I neither nominate or vote for my own events.

But maybe the latest victory for Larmer Tree simply reflects their success in persuading their own mailing list to vote for them?
