Matticus
if there's one band i want for next year, its them. One of those bands that i love that ive never seen. Listening to Pinkerton non stop right now, and i'd love if they even only played one or two tracks from that album, it make my festival perfect. anyone else share the same hope? pink_triangle
Weezer are one of my favourite bands ever. If they were to play you can be certain they would play the good life off pinkerton but not sure they would do anything else. Im sure if they play it would be dominated by blue and red album. The red album is very good in parts but the non rivers songs are a bit below par. It is however far better than maladroit and make believe which were both poor. Matticus
yeah red albums alrite, bit iffy at points, alot like most of thier recent stuff, but obviously the first albums are gold pinkerton is probably the most underated album of the ninties
rossg123
Blue album's my favourite. I'd be very happy if they played!
pink_triangle
My ideal setlist Blue - Buddy holly, sweater song, say it aint so, my name is jonas, in the garage pink - good life, pink triangle, falling for you green - photograph. island in the sun, hash pipe red - Troublemaker, the greatest man, pork and beans, heart songs Bit bias to red album as it isnt an amazoing album but picked these songs because ive never heard them live. thegremlin_1999
i've said it before and i'll say it again, while i do like weezer, when i saw them last time around they were just very dull and i was most disappointed
thomasowen
I'm sure they will play. They made it clear they wanted to be there this year.
foo3
They have been playing Pink Triangle, Getchoo, El Scorcho and The Good Life on their US Tour. What they are doing though is giving the other members of the band the vocals in certain parts of certain songs. Make of that what you will, I would still travel a long way to see them. I do like the Red Album but it has a few filler tracks in there. Infinitely better than Make Believe but not as good as Maladroit in my opinion. I think that album is critised wrongly as it is actually their best work since Pinkerton (given that most of the tracks on it are B-sides and demos from that period). Pinkerton remains for me about as close as musical perfection as you can get. Heres the set list from Madison Square Garden 1. My Name Is Jonas 2. Pink Triangle 3. Perfect Situation 4. Say It Ain't So 5. Susanne 6. Keep Fishin' 7. King 8. Undone 9. Pork and Beans 10. Dreamin' 11. Dope Nose 12. Troublemaker 13. Automatic 14. Hash Pipe 15. El Scorcho 16. Morning Glory 17. Greatest Man --------------------------- 18. Island in the Sun 19. Beverly Hills --------------------------- 20. Heart Songs 21. Buddy Holly Good mix of all albums there, nice to see alot of Maladriot and Blue in there. Only three off Pinkerton but thats three more than you would expect to be honest. leebyron
I really hope Weezer turn up this year, was gutted they weren't at Reading last year. Hopefully they'll headline the NME tent. Don't mind this year as there is not one mainstage headliner I'd like to see out of the three
