I've never seen him do Incident or Serenade out of the dozen + shows I've seen. Heres hoping for the next one.

And no, hes not letting up. Hopefully he'll be an excuse for a nice winter break in a city I haven't been to before.

Speaking of Wild Innocent - this didn't make the album. Great version. Although you can see why it didn't make the album. Its a bit ploddy.

Rumours of a Hamburg show in July, which would probably mean some other shows in Europe.

Lopez on drums yeah. Great drummer. Plenty of jazz and swing in there. Not a stadium drummer really though was he? Weinberg is more suited to the louder stuff. "Night" for example which is one of the first songs he played on. Wouldn't have sounded the same with Lopez playing.

Surprised about the German show if true. Means hes only doing 8-9 weeks in the US. And thats with no break at all. Good for Europe though!

Hes enjoying himself down under.

Gold Coast bike ride the day after the beach party!

Watched the Bruce Springsteen Musicares Tribute show on Sky Arts last night. I expected the usual tosh from this sort of thing but absolutley loved it. Some stonking covers and a great short set from the man himself at the end.

The only poor versions of his stuff were the ones Elton Joh and Sting did, the rest were all pretty damn good. Even Mumfords! Jim James and Tom Morello doing Ghost of Tom Joad was off the scale.

This link has Natalie Maines, Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite performing Atlantic City.

New remastered box sets available...

Bruce Springsteen: The Album Collection Vol. 1 1973-1984 is a boxed set comprised of remastered editions of the first seven albums recorded and released by Bruce Springsteen for Columbia Records between 1973 and 1984. All of the albums are newly remastered (five for the first time ever on CD) and all seven are making their remastered debut on vinyl.

The seven albums are recreations of their original packaging and the set is accompanied by a 60 page book featuring rarely seen photos, memorabilia, and original press clippings from Springsteen's first decade as a recording artist.

Acclaimed engineer Bob Ludwig, working with Springsteen and longtime engineer Toby Scott, has remastered these albums, all newly transferred from the original analogue masters using the Plangent Process playback system.
