Who's watching what on tv

I tried kodi but didn't like it. thought the controls weren't the best. Big fan of Plex though. You can load it on to a Now TV box too and you'll probably be able to pick the old ones up pretty cheaply now they've released a new version (and they were really cheap to begin with)

Kodi is good once you root out the good stuff. Which is a minefield granted. Its very hit and miss. 90% of the streams don't work or are shit.

My housemate's friend died of a heroin overdose a fortnight ago so have been binge watching It's Only Sunny In Philedelphia with him whilst he smokes a lot of dope.

I've never seen it before but it's brilliant. We're up to season 10 already on Netflix.

Has anyone seen "Made In Chelsea"? I had the misfortune to have to watch 20 minutes of it whilst waiting for the telly to play my Xbox yesterday. My daughter and all of her friends watch it religiously.

It was fucking awful, contrived, vacuous people living out their personal lives in staged settings sharing their most personal details to each other, all whilst being softly lit and obviously prompted to bring up this and that by the production team. I have never seen anything more worthy of my ire.

fucking awful.

Couldn't agree more. Why anybody would choose to watch it is beyond me, that includes the folks in my family!

Just the trailers for this program make me want to throw a brick through the TV.  How it won a BAFTA is beyond me.

Has anyone been watching Taskmaster on Dave?  Very enjoyable stuff!

OITB is great with some great characters, Red and Suzanne are my favourites, both excellent comedy roles.  Definitely worth sticking with and I look forward to season 4.

My problem with OITNB is that after they've served their 'viewer proxy' role by introducing you to the world of the prison, Piper and Alex are so dull.

Watched the first episode of Spartacus last night.

I have mixed feelings about it so far. Will watch another couple to be sure, but there was some terrible acting in it in parts. There was also a few good bits to it. Anyone got any words of encouragement to persuade me to stick with it?

Actually the first episode has some amazing bad acting in it, his "speech before the mounted Imperator" was cringe-inducing. I wince every time I see it.

It gets better, overall including Andy the Spartacus. More than just learn how to "act" and "be" the part, the actors - thanks to their hard work and the great scripts - start to be able to communicate with glances. Really effectively at that. It won't spoil it too much to say there are many moments that might have prevented the slave revolt, but the final "it's really gonna happen" occurs - in terms of the show - in nothing more than a glance. But you as the audience know it too.

So yeah, stick with it. But you're not wrong, especially the first episode. And the next couple are slow burners.

But they're all worth watching, the stories, characters, and moments start to build and start to intertwine, and they all help each other snap in the penultimate episode of the season (Revelations). For that matter generally speaking the penultimate episode is often the best of the season (Monsters in season 2 iirc is equally good).

- - -

And if that sounds spoilery, oh yeah, sorry I have away the fact Spartacus is about a slave revolt led by Spartacus and other historical figures such as Oenomaus, Crixus, and Castus.

Mr Robot final episode in the season postponed due to Americans getting all shooty again.

Watched first episode Fear the Walking Dead. Getting it was interesting, from my "usual vendor" was a Digital Millennium Thingamajigy Takedown Notice Thingy. So I read the site's forums and took their advice and installed one script installer into Chrome (one click) then went to a 2nd site to install scripts that uses Internet Archive Magic to overcome the takedown notice (second click) and - hey presto - like magic the red takedown notice was merely a header to a freshly installed download button. The important thing is the site isn't hosting the download button, my browser is creating it.

Anyway, it had "horrible rapist uncle willy" from Once Were Warriors (aka horrible Iraqi terrorist from True Lies aka horrible Mexican rapist from Training Day) as a not-so-horrible stepdad and some boring junkie kid who I wanted to get eaten quickly but didn't and it had magic zombies who killed and rose and managed to vanish in the middle of a dense metropolis without creating an outbreak. It wasn't unwatchable but I won't ever rewatch it.

He's not in True Lies (unless it's a smaller role you mean). It's Art Malik who plays the main bad guy. They do look alike though and both play a variety of ethnicities other than their own

There is a spooky resemblance, at least during their prime.

I'm also glad Curtis didn't get involved in that racist POS True Lies, but he did that racist POS Training Days so he doesn't get away completely (I strongly doubt he'd be impressed if a crew of Mexicans, acting a script written by a white guy, portrayed a gang of dimwitted angry Maori rapists).

Just started series 3 of Sons of Anarchy and if it keeps going as strong as this then it will become my fave TV show ever.

I've genuinely laughed out loud, had OMG moments, been hooked non stop and I don't mind saying even shed a tear when Gemma sat down and told Jacks & Clay what happened to her in series 2.

One of my mates, who has already seen it all, said it does dip around series 4/5 but as long as it finishes strong I'm OK with that.

I resisted this show for so long as due to the setting I didn't get think it would be my thing but its just so,so,SO well written its impossible not to get into.

I thought 5 was a dip but 4 and 6 were my two favourite seasons.

With out giving the plot away can I ask you guys how is Marilyn Manson in the last series?

A fan of his music and know the type of character he plays in the show but is he believable?I'd hate to reach that point and just be so blindsided by the fact its him.

If you mean how well does he do - then WJA is correct.

If you mean how does he come to be in it, then (its not a massive spoiler)

he is a gang boss inside prison

I meant how does he perform in but yeah I'd guessed how he appears as I'd seen a picture.

Making my way through series 3 now and just bought the last two series this morning so got the full run to take in now.

Yeah, I assumed Courtney was

Going to go off the rails or be abducted or turn into a suicide bomber or something but, no, she remains stable as a faintly conservative care teacher - a turn of events that completely blindsided me.
