P&R is widely accepted as being brilliant. also - have you done "Arrested Development"? its peerless imho.

P&R is damn good too - didn't really see S1 as that bad either.

 

Would also add 30 Rock to the list.  Alec Baldwin is great in it.

30 Rock has moments of being great but too much of it is filler slapstick which just ruins it for me.

Couldn't recommend community and Arrested Development highly enough. Both great comedies. Need to watch P&R as I have seen a few minutes of episodes and without any context have enjoyed those minutes.

 

If we are talking about American comedies I would like to add; Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

 

And on a more basic, easy to watch has a few laughs I have actually enjoyed Brooklyn Nine-Nine also.

Arrested Development Season 4 was a bit of a change of the pace with the story running through it, but I thought it made it seem fresh, and it's a great season.

 

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is probably my favourite of the newer ones. Was disappointed that The Neighbours got cancelled after two seasons.

i tried multiple times to watch it all the way through and never did end up doing it. far too much of it spent with the cast in entirely different locations - their stories rarely ever sync up. if they do another series i hope it returns to the old format

 

another vote for It's Always Sunny (have watched this through so many times that i've had to give myself a bit of a rest from it) and Brooklyn Nine Nine. got like halfway through The League but just thought it was all a bit too silly and not consistently funny. will have to give it another go

Just watched the 2 hr premiere of Scream Queens

 

What an utterly fantastic show. 

The pacing, the characters, the humour. Outstanding stuff. 

 

Its basically American Horror Story [as its the same people] with a HUGE dollop of humour. 

 

Can't recommend it enough.

yep this is how i felt. Kelly story aside, i thought they were gonna do down a fairly happy-go-lucky route for the final few episodes. how wrong i was - it's gone off. spectacular episode. hope the last episode keeps up the pace

I will be watching precisely nothing on my TV for the next few days as it (my old trusty tiny 19" cathode ray) has just given up the ghost it seems. I thought I'd heard a worrying bang during my midday nap earlier.

 

I know next to nothing about modern tellys but I guess I want a new one that can find my wifi and do iPlayer and such like. Any recommendations? 

 

No more PS2 Time Crisis light gun fun is concerning me. It just doesn't work on modern TV's apparently (not that I've played it for years, but it's a classic).

 

Can't do anything about it until at least Tuesday due to work.

are you from the olden days? even my 90yo nana has a backlit LED.!

 

joking aside, go into a showroom and dont buy anything gimmicky (curved, 3d) if you think ultra HD (4k) might float your boat - it will be the next big thing, but its not a necessity.  most brands are decent these days, i usually plump for a samsung, but LG etc are very good these days

I'm feeling cursed at the moment. Got up this morning to find my PC is up the spout also. Hoping it's just the mouse but won't be able try my new one until early hours of this morning. Anything other than that and I'm fucked.
