^ I have to disagree with that.

I would never say that EXIT drew in a 'weak line up' - the whole reason i decided to go to EXIT last year was soley based on their 2007 line up. - NO festival in the UK had a line up as good from my POV.

Granted last year, the line up didnt live up to the 07' standard (for me). But to some people, the chance to see the likes of Sex Pistols, Primal Scream etc was absolutely IMMENSE. And where it failed for me, made up for with the DnB line up. - where in the UK would you get the likes of Noisia on the MAIN STAGE?...

EXIT have i think - a brilliantly diverse line up, with loads of amazing little suprises that you wouldn't expect to see anywhere else (Grandmaster Flash this year, for example...)

I think Festivals in the UK for the most part are incredibly predictable, you can pretty much guess the entire line up before anythings been announced.

If I'm honest its not the line up which is drawing me to Exit but the atmosphere and experience. UK festivals have taxed the hell out of the fun and frolicks and I want to go to a festival, meets loads of randoms, dance like no-one's watching and discover some new music I've not heard of before. In the sun and without stabbings. I think that's why most folks choose a European festival over the tried and tested UK rip offs.

Or maybe I'm showing my age...

Erm, went to book tickets today and the site has scared me - the normal website has disappeared and it's only promoting the Madonna concert. :O The festival is still going ahead, right?

(They may also be updating the site with more line up news of course... hopefully. Either that or changing the ticket prices. :O )

Hopefully a temporary thing anyway...
