Originalshez
Maybe he'll just play for 3 hours regardless?
darrenbha
I really hope he's struck the same deal he has with pinkpop for a decent length set
alframsey
One thing that's occurred to me, is that Bruce likes to get close... really close to his audience (this from the Emirates: ">

alframsey
I'm struggling with the album full stop. It ain't bad but it's not classic Bruce. Glasto is gonna be epic anyway. Hopefully he'll only play the "Working on a Dream" My Lucky day" and "The Wrestler". What does everyone else out reckon to the new album? Originalshez
It's growing. My Lucky Day will SMOKE live. I would also love to see Nils let loose on Kingdom Of Days. I'm not sure we'll see more than 4 tracks from it in a Glasto set though. Reckon 2-3 from Magic and The Rising each, and there's half your set, assuming he gets enough time for a 20 song set. If he's given 3 hours though, we could see upto 25/26, depending on if any of the epics get played (Jungleland, Kitty's Back, Rosie etc). HastingsBoy
Well, it may not be classic Burce. But neither was Magic, and i recall it taking a while for that to grow on me, and thats possibly my favourite Bruce album now!!! Its a very good album! alframsey
Agreed this one may grow on me . At the end of the day even an average Brooooce album is better than most of the other stuff out there. Can't wait for Glasto - i'm hoping "Brooooooooce" shouts/yells will start in the Jazz Field on the Wednesday night! A few pints of Brothers, bit of sunshine! It's gonna be epic! Hope the Neil Young rumour is true too - it's all gone a bit quiet on that front - anyone herd anything more?

TrevK
don't expect it to be confirmed for a while yet ...I suspect that the London show will be confirmed next week sometime but i also think it's likely that Glasto won't be confirmed at the same time. They're likely to give the London shows a week or two of being the only UK show on sale before Glasto is announced I reckon.

pedmills
I hope all you lot on this thread realise thats there is no way Springsteen is going to be playing 2 and a half hours or whatever it is you think it might be. Four reasons: 1. It would be unfair on Neil Young and Blur (and previous headliners) as they wouldn't have been allowed long headline slots. 2. Future headliners might all demand long slots if he got one 3. The licence only allows the headliner to play to a certain time, if he starts earlier then the second-from-top band will be starting really early. 4. The second-from-top on Saturday is going to be a 'headliner' so will not be amused at having to play so early in the evening (and also getting a much shorter slot). I'm pretty sure he'll get the usual 90 minutes Edited January 27, 2009 by peteyboy

It's not a licence condition I've ever heard of, despite having attended numerous Glastonbury licence hearings.
