I'd let her come on 3 conditions.

1) She doesn't do the gyrating thing.

2) She sticks to her older stuff, everything after mid 90's is garbage.

3) She doesn't headline.

I really don't get why there seems to be a new found respect for her old stuff - it is shite! I mean Material girl? Like a Virgin? It is complete and utter bullshit. As is her new stuff. Hung Up? 4 Minutes? What a load of crap. However, she got interesting in the mid 90's onwards. The Bjork written track. Ray Of Light album is pretty good - all the way through (although that probably owes more to Orbit's production).

dont get me wrong though..i saw her play Wembley Stadium and Earls Court 4 times in the 80's/90's and she was (more so at the earlier gigs) terrific, but imho her last bunch of albums since Ray of Light have been patchy to say the least. so now she gets the crisis of confidence that comes to all stars in the autumn of their careers and thinks that all she has to do is go begging to ME and he'll wave his wand and make her a megastar (again).

with any luck ME will see through the needy 50-year old on his doorstep and tell her that he's sorry but not this year.

I'm sure someone would be able to correct/confirm but I seem to remember a TV interview when ME said he'd love Madonna to play. But that was before the ultra high tackiness of the last couple of albums.

Bruce didn't record any music with the E Street Band in the 90's, perhaps that's why. a dour acoustic album and human touch/lucky man in '92 with some session musicians
