5co77ie
I actually dated a girl I used to call the Ice Creature of Hoth for a while, but that is in itself another story.
sifi
Man, I soooo want to live on a planet that orbits two suns. * shakes fist in general direction of the window, moaning about "rubbish planet" * I like your use of the "First transport is away". I myself often slam down the telephone and say "Boring Conversation Anyway". Any other Star Wars quotes people use regularly? I can imagine BarryFish doing a Vader impression talking to his rug-rat claiming to be her father. Even though I've not met BarryFish and doubt that his voice sounds anything like the late, great James Earl Jones.

t8yman
Well I caved and bought the box set of 4-6, bear in mind I saw a new hope in the cinema in 1977, and probably watched it 60+ times between the age of 7 and 12. Just watched ep IV for I reckon the first time in 20+ years. The transfer is fantastic, it looks amazing, some of the effects are understandably dated, and I must say I enjoyed it far more than I expected to, yes some of the bullshit special edition stuff grates- but it took me back to my childhood, and the score made me a little glassy eyed from time to time. It's amazing how little I understood about the plot as a nipper. I might even do empire soon if the wife will tolerate it.

Purple Monkey
"That's no moon" Usually used when anyonehuge passes by and if anyone asks about a bar/pub thats a shithole I quite often reply with "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy"...can sometimes lead to blank looks tho

The Nal
So watched some Bluray last night. Incredible. The Emperor is even scarier in HD! Does anyone else think its weird that Ian McDiarmid was in his mid/late 30s when he first played that character though! Some of the battle sequences are spectacular, like watching them again for the first time. The "No..... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" from Vader is shit as expected. All subtlety out the window. And they still have that shite music at the end of ROTJ. Leia in ROTJ in 1080p though...... Edited September 19, 2011 by The Nal

sifi
I watched them all back to back on Saturday. For some reason watched them in the order of 4 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 5 - 6. The battle on Hoth was amazing, and the quality of the audio and visuals is utterly amazing. I felt very 'emotional' in parts of it. Essential for any Star Wars fan. I thought the DVD copies remasters were awesome, but this is a different leauge. And Kevin Spacey doing Christopher Walken doing Han Solo was genius. The Nal
I read that this morning but the weirdest part I found was that after murdering someone the guy went round his Mum's.
Ed209
He was upset and needed comforting in fairness. He had just gone through a very traumatic experience, something nobody should ever go through. Someone just smashed up his Star Wars toy collection.
