Hey all,

I figured we should send out an update to reassure those of you that may have seen today's Daily Mail article regarding flooding in the Lake District. We're happy to say that this doesn't affect us - but as they saw, a picture speaks a thousand words so I've just taken my camera around the field and snapped a few shots.

The view of the campsites

The main entrance way, looking out from the dance tent

The rain didn't miss us though, and the south car park was slightly affected - rather than run the risk of a waterlogged field we found a carpark on another part of the estate that's much better drained - so whilst you might notice the setup of the parking seems a bit last minute, that's because it is. But we're confident this is much better for you.

The good news there though is that the campervan area is now much much bigger because of this - so if you've got a campervan, feel free to bring it along - please note that there is a £30 charge payable on the gate.

This is me offline now for probably the best part of the next 2 weeks - hope you all have a great weekend.

See you in the morning!

What a fantastic weekend...We had an absolute ball, the new venue is perfect, the sun came out at times and bar a soggy night on friday (and a flooded tent) the weather held up.

The highlights: Ash were on blistering form on Sunday and their new material sounds really good, Beadyman rammed the dance tent on saturday and he was spectacular, I really enjoyed a bizarre set by The Witch & The Robot, and the Zutons were on top form. I saw so many new bands and can state that British music is alive and very much kicking, so many highlights including meeting Howard Marks....This is a fab festival for the kids and I particularly enjoyed the Cumbrian Olympics....Well done Kendal Calling you have created a festival fit for the family and I think you managed to put a smile on everybodys face this weekend..However you really need to put more toilets on site....Roll on KC2010

An absolute cracker of a weekend, awesome bands, awsome venue even the weather held out.

Only negative thing is that the bogs in the campsite (at the bottom near the swampy bit) could've been empted a bit sooner !

Rool on next year !!

Just a quick Q, who sorted the wrist bands ? Kendal spelled with 2 L's, Kendall Calling, useless bastards !!

we had a great weekend, highlights for me were dancing like my dad at a wedding to craig charles funk show and smoove and turell dj set. the streets, andrew weatherall, sunshine underground, and enjoying the laughing gas back at our tent every night.

on the downside once again not enough toilets but they wer always clean when i went and what were them urinals all about? had to stand 3ft away to piss so it didnt run into ur wellies. got robbed on the friday night as a few people round me did, didnt think i had anything took till i realised my adidas jacket was missing on sun morning. though there was a lot of knobheads in the campsite, some without wristbands. and to top it all off im now off work for a week due to catching swine flu there.

anyone else suffering?
